Art for Art's Sake

This is a real fun sale with opportunities to buy some one-of-a-kind items. Art Lituchy retired to Fearrington Village from Long Island after being a graphic artist who ran an advertising studio for 35 years. In retirement, he added a woodworking studio to his home and created whimsical bird houses and other handcrafted creations. The NC Botanical Gardens have displayed many of his works.

In addition to Art's wonderful items, we have pieces from his companion Margo Taussig Pinkerton. She has had many adventures shooting photographs that appeared in such magazines as National Geographic, Traveler, GEO, Wooden Boat Magazine, and Vogue just to name a few. Her work is in private, museum, and library collections around the world. Her late husband Arnold "Arnie" Zann also has quite the impressive background.... too much to list all the accomplishments of this couple. But lets just say his photos were in Time and Life.

Along with the wonderful photographs, we have paintings, pottery, furniture, jewelry, .... one is by Fuster, a known Cuban Artist who took inspiration from Salvador Dali. This is one of the pieces that are a bit on the.... shall we say erotic side. But since they say sex sells, I wanted to be sure and mention this. I will place these in a special area for politeness.
