A vibrant and respected member of the Blues community, Speas served as archivist, documenting countless local performances in the last two decades. In addition to his service to the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society, Ralph Spea’s life was as colorful as the memories he leaves behind. An accomplished academic, Speas taught courses in scuba diving, the Blues, and human sexualities. |
