Terms

There will be assistants on site each day to help buyers in purchasing and removing all items. Susan, the owner, will be on hand daily to discuss each item, the artist if known, the country of origin where purchased, and the particular history. Having worked in southeast Asia for forty years, Susan is very familiar with the objects being offered as part of a vast collecting process she has engaged during that time. No smoking on the premises, please. No parking near the warehouse sales area, please, leaving that space for removals during the sale. Credit card availability for Master Card, Visa. No bathrooms available at this sale.

Southeastern Asian items offered at this once in a lifetime sale will date from the Han dynasty until the creation of the republic following World War II.  Furniture including two sets of six dining chairs, four cane bottomed 19th century side chairs, pair of faux bamboo armchairs with matching table, heavily carved credenza, set of four ground chairs, pair of cane seat armchairs, etc., substantial volume of fine utilitarian and formal antique and modern accessories, glazed and unglazed storage jars, American and Asian textiles, Chinese and Persian oriental rugs, antique hand wrought metalwork, working decoys, huge art collection, substantial collection of books, many hand carved large/small mirror/picture frames, and many intricate, elaborate carvings.  All will be available in quantity and are in house ready condition. 

American folk art (Sam Ezell, Jimmy Lee Suddath, J.T. McCord, Leonard Jones (GA), Clyde Jones), southern American furniture (several dining/breakfast tables), mirrors, fine vases made into lamps, antique oriental rugs, brilliant period cut and plain glass, and numerous silver plated items will also be offered.

Large and important cabinetwork, including a published interior faux marble door surround by Thomas Day, noted pre-Civil War North Carolina free black furniture maker, and other millwork will be offered.
