Description & Details
Dealers, Resellers, and Serious Collectors Welcome...
My late Mother and I spent our lives collecting--and now everything must go.
Thousands of items from across time as well as across art forms and media. These include:
- antiquarian books with an emphasis on exquisite illustration--both children's books and botanical/natural history volumes
- vintage books from all decades of the twentieth century, fiction and non-fiction, across a range of topics and genres
- many first editions or rare, special editions; some signed books here and there; extensive collection of illustrated recipe booklets from the 1930s through 1960s
- museum catalogs, art books, and Abrams-style coffee table books from the 1960s to today
- many modern book as well, including review copies in great (often like-new) condition (I used to write for Booklist, Library Journal, etc.)
- vintage paperbacks, including classic Pocket Books and sci-fi/fantasy mid-century titles
- all sorts of printed material, including ephemera, magazines, pulps, some comics, etc.; also a few non-print items such as games, vinyl and other audio, artwork, and decor. I've been collecting (okay, maybe "hoarding" is a better term) for 50 years, so there's a wide variety of items, and a few categories I'm probably forgetting.
The photos provide a decent and largely representative sample of everything available, but they're still just a sample.
This sale is not being promoted in local newspapers, Craigslist, Nextdoor, etc.; it's really just for those who know the value of the work of these writers, artists, and publishers.
For those *arriving* during the final hour of the sale, the price on pretty much everything drops dramatically; again, all of this must go.
Thank you for your interest.

( general / caveats )
I doubt I'll have much time to respond to individual queries, so please note before messaging:
- No Pre-Sales / Holds: All items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis when the doors open.
- No Pricing Info: I cannot provide individual item prices via email prior to the sale.
- No Inventory Previews: I'm unable to check for specific authors, titles, or categories beyond what's shown in the photo gallery. That said, I'll try to add more photos. (Also, you can get a general sense of things by checking out my FB Marketplace listings -- I believe I'm the only Peter Gutierrez in New Jersey selling old stuff.)
For those interested in reaching out post-sale, it's pretty easy to track me down on social media. On LinkedIn, I'm the Peter Gutierrez offering "editorial services"; I also have three different IG accounts, including the vintage "tomorrows nostalgia" (one word) account.
