Stan's Square Records, run by Stan Krause, opened in Jersey City in 1965, moved to the Bergen Ave location in the late 1970s and was in business for over 50 years. Stan was also a record producer, putting out a few dozen doo wop, soul, and hiphop records from the 1960s-1990s on his own Catamount Records and other labels. Stan sadly passed away in 2016, and the store never had a proper closeout sale.
