1 Captain James Cook Australia Bound -Kipp Soldwedel Salmagundi Oil on Canvas titled, "Captain Cook: Australia Bound" (Salmagundi Club Collection), signed Kipp Soldwedel - 1978. Kipp Soldwedel (1913 - 1999) was an internationally known American artist and a Salmagundi member in 1963. He was known for his beautiful depictions of maritime scenes and featured in various prestigious magazines such as National Geographic and Life among others. Today, Soldwedel's work can be seen in the rotunda of the Statue of Liberty and at the American National Art

Foxing to the edge of the paper, creases from framing, tape residue. A painting of blue flowers. 8" H x 6" W. Foxing from framing. Originally mounted on board. Additionally a pen and ink drawing. 6" H x 5 1/2" W. Foxing from framing. The drawing and primrose painting come with notes on the board they were packed in.
