AFTER 6PM, YOU WILL HAVE TO GET YOUR OWN NAME ON THE LIST OR JUST COME IN THE MORNING.

BE a part of history as this is a once in a lifetime type of sale  -a sale you do not want to miss if you a vintage guitar lover. This is home of Vincent (Vinnie) Bell who was the inventor of the "watery"guitar sound (the predecessor of the wah wah pedal) and the Coral electric sitar in 1967. He worked with and also invented for Danelectro in the 1960's & 70's right here in Neptune, NJ. He was prolific in session recordings, commercials and guitar making. This sale is in Vinnie's home where he lived, worked and invented. Inside the home is his workshop and recording studio with over 30 different guitars - mostly made or adapted  by Vinnie and a lot of prototypes - the Coral electric sitar (3 prototypes), the Vinnie Bell Combo, Danelectro Coral Firefly, 1967 Danelectro 12 string prototype guitar, 1958 Danelectro UB-2 six string bass, Bellzouki rare prototype version guitar as well as others - Martin 0-18 c. 1961, Fender, Epiphone Triumph Regent with rare D’Aquisto tail piece, The Gibson, Guild F 50 R Jumbo acoustic, Ovation Balladeer, Maccaferri, Portuguese  Lisbon style fado guitar by Joao Pedro Gracie Jr, Puerto Rican “Cuatro Moderno”, Fratelli Vinaccai Napoli mandolin c. 1898 (was Vinnie’s as a child), Danelectro convertibles (acoustic & electric versions), Gretsch lap steel, Bina sitar with toomba, banjos….. and more!!!!!

The workshop is full of guitar making / luthier tools, woods, guitar parts (headstocks, bodies, molds - some given to Vinnie by the late great luthier John D'Angelico, patterns, sketches, pedals, other effects), guitar picks, machinery rolling tool cabinets,  and more and the recording studio is full of vintage electronics (Coral, TEAC, Ampex, Pioneer, MXL Bogen, Macintosh…), amps & speakers (Danelectro, Coral, KLH, Gibson, Texan…) …..

***GOOD NEWS!! We were able to find the power switch for the recording studio set up and it looked like all of the components at least powered on!

And then there is also a pipe collection - including: Charatan’s, Orlik, Weber, Missouri Meerschaum, GBD, Comoy’s, Wellington, Savinille, Iwan Ries, Barling King, etc and a couple that Vinnie handmade;  a knife collection (from pocket knives to swords), a novelty watch collection plus parts, and lighters,  many books, fishing and more more more!!!!!!

Ephemera: magazines (American Lutherie, Electronic Musician, Guitar Player, Billboard – many from the ‘60s -70s); LOTS of sheet music; Twin Peaks, photos, Woody Allen, HE WORKED WITH MANY CELEBRITIES….MUCH, MUCH MORE!!!!!!!!!

And then of course there is furniture & accessories: task lamps, end tables, pedestals (gilt, marble) loveseat, king BR set, Quartz top chess table, grandfather clock built by Vinnie, Mid Century chair /table combo, lamps, Bernhardt Asian inspired DR set with breakfront, table & 6 chairs, pop up bar, Wedgwood “Ulander” service 8, stemware, Hummels, Kitchen appliances, artwork – Asian 3D MOP pictures, Collectors Guild lithos signed by artists including Picasso, Dali, Bernard Buffet; set of four hand painted "crests"  / plaques with crossed swords reportedy from Rao's famous restaurant in NYC…..
