Description & Details

There are many solid cherrywood furniture pieces by Bob Timberlake (Lexington Furniture) throughout the house. The highlight of this sale is an original oil painting by Douglas John Connah (1871–1941), friend and colleague of John Singer Sargent and James McNeill Whistler. The art piece we are selling, The Pipe of Peace, is a large dramatic oil painting depicting a Plains Indian in warrior regalia. It appears to date to the late 19th century and is accompanied by historic documentation. (Size 30” x 25” or 39” x 33” framed).
