The first of two sales will be Thursday. It will be the contents in the dining room, formal living room, and three bedrooms. The car has been sold to a family member. The kitchen, den, garage and back yard will be sold at the second sale. Fantastic vintage sale full of elegant 1970s furnishings from Bertha's. I will replace with better photos later. Date subject to change! All Las Vegas natives remember BERTHAS! The rest of you saw it in the movie "Casino". The "Hole in the Wall" gang dropped through the roof to get the jewelry! Every fine home...

Check the wood pieces out carefully. In past experience, I found some of these painted wood pieces to be mahogany. I took my Uncle's baby creamy yellow set from Bertha's set to be "dipped" and stained, and they told me it was mahogany.

The shade has rhinestones. Sally just told me: "Originally, rhinestones were rock crystals gathered from the river Rhine, hence the name, although some were also found in areas like the Alps, but today the name 'rhinestone' applies only to varieties of lead glass". Who knew?
