Bidding Terms & Conditions
Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping/delivery arrangements. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase, your card will be charged for all won items at the close of each auction. Please place your bids carefully – we cannot always accommodate bid retraction requests.

If you do not pick up your item or arrange for shipping the item will be considered forfeited and no refunds will be issued. Large forfeited items may incur a disposal fee or your account may be deactivated.

Maintenance of Payment Information and Bidding Policies— In order to place a bid or list an item, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Caring Transitions, you irrevocably authorize Caring Transitions to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the sale of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling fees. Please note that additional fees including Handling Fees, Alternate Pickup Fees and Item Disposal Fees will require bidder approval before being charged, failure to accept those charges when relevant may result in the suspension of your CTBids account.
You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Please note that Caring Transitions will not have access to your payment information at any point, all card information is vaulted with a PCI compliant third party.

Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information.
Receipts are emailed to winning Bidders once the sale has completely closed and payment is secured. All invoices under five thousand dollars ($5,000) will be auto charged to the primary card on file in your user profile for the total amount. Purchases over five thousand dollars ($5,000) will require an auto charge of 10% of whatever the invoice total is. Remaining payment for those invoices must be handled between you and the Seller; invoice must be paid in full before receiving a receipt for items won.

A 20% Buyer's Premium and 8.38% sales tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.

Listings times have a soft close. Extra time may be added to ending times to allow bidders more time to win. This will give you time to receive an outbid notification and place a higher bid and mimics what happens in a live auction where the auctioneer asks for any last bids before making the sale.

Pick Up Policies —
The exact address of the scheduled pickup will be on the invoice/receipt e-mailed after the auction closes.
If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pickup of your purchases on the scheduled pickup date, unless you have made prior shipping arrangements.

Bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or out-building.

We have made every effort to describe Lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS, and where is. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
