Liberty Antiques is conducting an Estate Sale in a beautiful brownstone in an almost bucolic setting on a quiet and serene street in Brooklyn. It is smoke free and pet free.

We are featuring an original High Wheel Bicycle. It is also referred to as a Penny Farthing or an Ordinary.
We believe the following information applies to this High Wheeler:
Approximate year is 1887.
There is a name plate that indicates it is a Boston New Mail. (Made by Ames which was founded by Wm. Read & Sons)
The seat is Kirkpatric#3.
The seat springs are Columbia.
The pedals are William Read & Sons.
The hub bearings are Bownes-Aeolus.
The backbone appears solid and is Ames.
The wheel is Victor.
The spokes are Tangential.
The tires are solid rubber.
It is missing its dust shield, but is otherwise complete.
The adjustable foot peg is there.
THE WHEEL IS APPROXIMATELY 54, INCHES.
The wheel is partially rusted through.
We will be taking bids on the High Wheeler from 9:00AM September 11th until 2:00PM on Sunday, September 12th. The winning bidder must pay by 3:30PM September 12th and make arrangements for the High Wheel to be removed.
There are two vintage bicycle safety lights. One is very ornate with the words SEARCH LIGHT. The other is missing the glass lens and is marked Improved Banner, the P&A Mfg. Co. United States of America. Each one has one red and one blue crystal.
We now have a scanned copy of the original photo of this High Wheeler being ridden in Milford Connecticut in approximately 1899. (The High Wheeler had been passed down from one brother to the other) The High Wheeler was brought to Brooklyn in 1906.
There is an Edison Home cylinder machine that plays 2 and 4 minute cylinders with a Cygnet wooden horn.
World War I memorabilia includes bayonets that are sawtooth. There is a sword with its scabbard marked A.R.55. with a curved 30 inch blade and an overall length or 35 inches.
There is antique furniture, round oak claw foot table, vintage oak fold flat book shelf, curved glass china cabinet, collection of walking sticks, costume jewelry, china, glass, books, 78rpm records, Edison cylinders with matching boxes, sheet music, radios and ephemera.
We have a Borden's wooden milk box with the following on the inside of the lid: "M.F.D. FOR BORDEN'S -BY- INDUSTRIAL HOME FOR THE BLIND
BROOKLYN, N.Y."
We also have a Story & Clark upright piano with bench (According to the sticker - damp-proofed & moth proofed action - genuine reinforced hammer also waterproofed & stapled - storytone Mahogany sounding board) and a concrete Lawn Jockey 44, inches tall, for you to display. There are over a dozen Hummels, with Trade Marks 2, 3, 4, and 5.
There is a Revo electric scooter (broken seat) that we have charged and it works, a 1956 Baltimore & Ohio Railroad wall calendar approximately 21 by 31 inches.
We also have a cast iron child's toy bank. It is the two drawer Diamond Safe coin bank with the coin slot on top under the folding handle.
There are 24 pictures, and their negatives, of the opening of the (Brooklyn)-Battery Tunnel.
We have vintage children's toy games including a GEE-WIZ horse racing game, by the Wolverine Company, with it's original box.
We have a Europa phonograph, from Germany, by the Columbia Co. It was imported for a short period in 1914.
There are many vintage new denim overalls and jackets from S. Appel & Co., Uniforms, 16-18 Fulton St., New York. (Warranted Never Rip).
The jackets have Union Overall Co. buttons. The overalls have Sweet Orr buttons.
Vintage tools include L.S. Starret Co., James Swan Co., and others.
Marine engineers memorabilia. Vintage Sextant.
H. Michelsen Double Distilled Bay Rum, original box, straw casings, one empty, one is one third full, one is three quarters full. Medals awarded from 1883 to 1893. (Not for consumption)
Vintage 5, piece fishing rod set. Two tips, one mid section, one reel holder, plus fitted wooden holder.
