BORN 15 DAYS APART, PASSED 15 DAYS APART (BUFFALO)...

This is the love story of Philip and Ada Manke Pawlowski, artists who lived in this fabulous city home. They met in the 1960s in a poetry class at the University of Buffalo, he a music major and she an art major. She was wearing a bright miniskirt and sporting a blond beehive hairdo. They connected instantly. They continued in the arts: Philip studied at a conservatory and later gave piano lessons and much of his poetry being published. Ada was an accomplished photographer, jewelry designer and won many awards for the kimonos, Tibetan coats, Turkish pants and dresses she made and designed. Philip practiced Buddhism and meditated daily while Ada was drawn to Wicca and filled her home with spheres and crystals. Philip passed away on December 15 and Ada passed 15 days later. They were both 70, born 15 days apart. We are honored to conduct this sale for two amazing individuals. Included in this sale is their vast collections of art, Roseville pottery, antiques, statuary, Buddhist and Wiccan books, objects and spiritual collections, poetry, photography, incredible collection of silver jewelry and unique signed pieces of costume.
