J. Greenstein & Co., Inc. will be accepting consignments for our next auction starting immediatly. Please contact our office for details. If you wish to sell an object or an entire collection without waiting for auction, we can sometimes arrange private sales between consignors and buyers. Furthermore, we have a tremendous contact list of various collectors and museums throughout the world and will be happy to represent your items.

CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. The items in the lots of this catalog are sold in ?AS IS? condition, meaning no representations or warranties are made by J. Greenstein and Company, Inc. (?J. Greenstein & Co.?) or the consignors of the items about condition, authenticity, provenance, or value, and thus prospective bidders are expected to exercise due diligence prior to bidding. Most of the items offered are quite old and should be inspected for defects and losses prior to bidding. J. Greenstein & Co. will try to describe these items as to size and condition, however, these descriptions as to age, origin, authorship, and condition are only the OPINIONS of our experts, and these OPINIONS are neither binding nor representations or warranties. Condition reports are available upon request as are additional pictures. However, no item should be expected to be in perfect condition, as most items are used.

2. J. Greenstein & Co. retains the right to withdraw any lot prior to, or during the auction, for any reason until the time of the auctioneer?s sale of that lot. The auctioneer may reopen the lot after closing, but before opening the next lot.

3. The final purchase price of the lot will be the auctioneer?s hammer price plus 30%. The purchaser must pay any New York sales tax unless a valid resale number is furnished or is on file with our office.

4. ALL LOTS MAY BE PICKED UP from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm at J. Greenstein & Co.?s 417 Central Avenue, Cedarhurst address, and must be paid for in full at that time. An appointment is necessary prior to arrival. Please call 516-295-2932 to schedule an appointment.

5. At auction, the auctioneer will acknowledge the highest bidder. His word is final. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer becomes the buyer of the item and is legally bound to pay the full amount for the item. The auctioneer reserves the right not to accept any bid he deems unfit. He may advance the bidding up to the reserve (i.e., the minimum confidential amount that the consignor is willing to sell the object for). If a dispute arises, the auctioneer has the right to cancel the sale and re-offer the lot. Estimates are what we feel is the current fair value of the item that is offered. Some of the lots may be subject to a reserve which is always below the low estimate.

6. We will accept order bids up until the night before by fax, or you may leave them at the auction site up until the time of the auction. We do not accept responsibility for errors and omissions in relation to order or phone bidding.

7. Our experts will be at the viewing. Please feel free to ask them questions and relate any concerns. If you are unable to attend the viewing, please feel free to ask for more pictures, condition reports and sizes. The overwhelming majority of the items are antique and vintage and come from people?s homes and estates. We auction the items in as found condition. In most instances, we have not cleaned them. For silver items, a professional polishing service is available for an additional charge.

8. The auctioneer will determine bidding increments at the time of the execution of each lot. For lots over $1,000, the minimum increment shall be no less than $100. For lots over $10,000, the minimum increment shall be no less than $500, and for lots over $50,000, the minimum increment will be no less than $1000.

9. Payment may be made with a certified check, wire, Zelle, Quickpay, money order or with a credit card with an additional 4%. Personal or private company checks will be accepted, however the items will not be released until the check clears J. Greenstein & Co.?s bank account. Sales tax must be collected on all lots unless a valid resale or tax-exempt certificate is given to J. Greenstein & Co. at the time of payment. Ownership passes to the buyer only after full payment for the item is received by J. Greenstein & Co.

10. Successful bidders must pay for and remove their items from our premises in a timely fashion. Any item already paid for but left in our possession over 30 days will be deemed abandoned by the bidder, ownership thereof shall be deemed legally transferred to J. Greenstein & Co., and J. Greenstein & Co. will have the right to do with it as it sees fit.

11. Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser. We are happy to coordinate with your shipper. UPS store 0691 in Garden City (THEUPSSTOREAUCTIONS@GMAIL.COM), UPS store 7819 in Astoria (store7819@theupsstore.com ) and Arrow Express (Arrowexpress@gmail.com) are local. We will work with whatever shipper you should choose.

12. J Greenstein & Co. is currently accepting consignments for future auctions. Please email Jonathan@Jgreenstein.com for more information.
