Description & Details
We are pleased to present the estate of Dr. Malcolm E. Waite and Mary Jo Waite, two local artists, doll creators, and all around hobbyists.
Some, not all, of the items for sale include:
Art: Hundreds of paintings of all types. You really have to see the collection in person to appreciate how large it is and what a variety of subjects it covers (people, landscapes, etc). Oil paintings, watercolor paintings, and more.
Antiques & Collectibles: Model trains (HO/G/N scale), antique wooden boxes, toys, lamps, medical equipment, porcelain dolls, Dept 56 houses, and a lot more. There's even an entire collection of dioramas and handmade porcelain dolls. High end model ships. Doll houses and furniture.
Jewelry: Assortment of men and women's jewelry including bracelets, necklaces, watches (Bulova, etc.), cuff links, tie clips, and so on.
Kitchen/Household: The kitchen is jam packed with a variety of houseware, everything from cutting boards to (clear) Pyrex bowls to full china sets. There's also an entire room full of sewing and craft supplies including not one, not two, but THREE table top sewing machines.
Furniture: (3) couches (please sit on them all and I dare you to tell me the striped one in the living room off the kitchen isn't the comfiest couch you've ever sat on). Bedroom sets, Heywood Wakefield mid century modern dressers, a variety of dining chairs, a cherry dining table with (6) chairs and (2) leaves, Queen Anne style end tables and expanding gambling table, (3) light up curio cabinets, teak rolling bar cart, and a Queen Anne style cherry dining table with (6) chairs and (2) leaves. (6) mid century modern style lamps as well.
Henkel Harris Bedroom Set: This furniture is so nice that it gets its own category. A full bedroom set consisting of a Queen canopy bed, (2) dressers, an end table, and a "Lady Astor" writing desk. This set is a style that will always be in demand and durable enough to last for years to come.
