Description & Details
The Estate of Frank and Helen Strnad.
Frank and Helen were integral to the Northport and Huntington Communities for over 60 years. Helen graduated from Walt Whitman H.S. in 1940 and was a registered nurse. She was also an avid gardener and a member of the American Violet Society. She was a homemaker and her husband's biggest cheerleader.
Frank Strnard was a respected historian with a long and storied career. For over half a century, he was intimately associated with aviation. As a historian, his writings were published internationally, and he was a well-respected consultant to authors, artists, and museums. His work has taken him worldwide, so his collection of personal effects is a kaleidoscope of cultures and experiences.
This is part 1 of the auction. Part 2 will include more information and selections from his extraordinary background. In the meantime, happy bidding, and stay tuned for the remaining parts of this collection.
