Terms & Conditions

1. RESERVES. Most items are sold unreserved. When reserves are present, they are normally set at or below the minimum estimated range. We reserve the right to reject any bid not commensurate with the value of the item being sold.
2. WARRANTEES: All property is sold "as is", and neither the auctioneer nor any consignor makes any warranties or representation of any kind or nature with respect to the property, and in no event shall they/we be responsible for the correctness, nor deemed to have made any representation or warranty, or description, genuineness, authorship, attribution, provenance, period, culture, source, origin, or condition of the property and no statement made at the sale, or in the bill of sale, or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a warranty of representation or an assumption of liability. Please see Terms & Conditions No. 10 below, for further information regarding Condition Reports.
3. DISPUTED BIDS. In the event of disputed bids at the auction hall, the auctioneer shall be the judge in this matter to determine ownership. Normally, the auctioneer will re-open the bidding between the parties in dispute to determine the winner. The auctioneer shall also have the right to withdraw the article from the sale at his discretion.
4. PICKUP: We allow 3 weeks following the sale for pickup. However, if this is not possible, please call ahead and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule (845-471-5660). Any items not picked up within 30 days of sale, will be subject to a storage fee of $5 per item per day and we will not be held responsible for loss or damage of any item not picked up within this time period.

7. BUYERS PREMIUM: A 15%-20% buyers premium shall be applied to all in-house purchases (15% with cash or check, and 20% for charge or phone bids). Online buyers pay 25% buyers premium regardless of method of payment.
9. REGISTRATION TO BID: In house buyers - Registration must occur before bidding is permitted. Two forms of ID must be provided including the purchaser's driver's license. By bidding at the auction either live, phone, absentee, or online, the bidder agrees to accept the terms of the auction, including this list of requirements, as well as any new information that may be announced prior to the sale. Online buyers - Registration takes place through liveauctioneers only. Anyone with outstanding dispute(s) with liveauctioneers auction houses, will not be approved to bid at our sale unless a verifiable explanation is provided, or the dispute is resolved within 24 hours of our auction start time.
10. CONDITION REPORTS: Condition reports are provided as a courtesy only. While we will make every effort to ensure our condition reports are accurate, we cannot guarantee such and we should NOT be considered experts in any particular area of collecting. Also, condition reports are very subjective and when we say for example, that an item is in "Good Condition", that is our belief based on our examination but you may have a different opinion based on your background and experience on reviewing similar products. Further, box lots or group lots are only given a cursory review so if any particular item is important to you, please call for a more detailed report or request additional photos - items in box lots cannot be returned for any reason. Also, we advise all buyers to either inspect each item personally, or send a person to preview the item for you if you cannot attend the auction.
