“In 1812 Philander Woodworth opened a store in his home in Federal Hollow (now Rushville). The house that is standing at .. North Main Street is undoubtably the original building. Today it gets some publicity as the county line (Ontario/Yates) runs directly through the house."

Woodworth was to large extent an agent for Samuel Colt & CO. In 1815 Woodworth sold his store/house to Chester Loomis (Loomis Barn ancestors). 

This is the most historic building in Rushville, and the most recent owners were collectors of a great variety of antiques and collectibles. There is sure to be something for everyone!!
