Description & Details

Ahoy there! Hudson Estate Sales is pleased to bring you this whale of a sale in White Plains. All hands on deck! All Must Go!! Heave Ho! Exclusively for Estate Sailors, we are offering:

• Actual salvaged items from working vessels, for decorating your man-cabin.

• A rare set of classic Mid-Century cocktails, high-balls and low-balls signed by George Briard, in excellent condition with gold-tone overlay designs, a perfect accompaniment to your martini

• An antique 1912 baby-grand piano by Sohmer & Sons (in need of a tuning, reportedly plays well.)

• Console server by Ronnie Brahms for H. Sacks designed to be wall-mounted with or without the cabinetry.

• George Rison teak side table

• LeCoultre atmos clock, very special

• Antique and vintage fine china serve ware to complete your table, as well as our crystal glassware sets, novelty and holiday serving pieces and housewares.

• In the antique cases: Collectible porcelain figurines (Royal; Doulton, Dansk, Dresden, Limoges, Stangl, etc.)

•  18th, 19th and 20th-Century European and American paintings and sculpture of such variety, there’s bound to be something that will steal your heart.

• Upstairs in the Captain’s Quarters, there’s a gorgeous king-sized four-poster bedroom set, with matching dressers and chest of drawers

• Sweet marble-top night tables

• An unusual large oak file cabinet

• Golden oak roll-top desk will keep your papers tidy, even in rough seas.

• For the crew, there’s a nifty fifties dresser, a sleeper couch, and office desks (for work-from-ship days)

Just wait till you see the basement! It’s so full of treasures... we’re still unpacking...

• 18th and 19th Century paintings, framed prints, silver-plate, art glass, carved statuettes, nautical antiques, Asian figurative porcelain

• Vintage orthodontia(!?) tools -- careful, they’re very sharp--and an actual dentist chair!

Oh, and we found this strange, map-like drawing with what looks like latitiude and longitude coordinates and a big red X on it ... we have no idea what that’s for...

Could this be ...the long-lost secret hiding place of the Captain Kidd’s storied treasure??!

It’s no wonder that the owner of his impeccably-maintained White Plains gem was a museum docent, art lover, world traveler, and avid gardener. She filled the home with beautiful objects she and her husband acquired. He was as an avid collector of nautical-themed decor (although he remained a landlubber his entire life.) Friends and family were nourished by art and music, as well as her cooking. Hudson Estate Sales is selling over 50 years of this couple's accumulations, a result of a  recent downsize.

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 9, 10 and 11, from 9 to 4pm. Come over and dig! (You’re bound to get lucky!) Remember, if you like something but don’t like the price--leave an offer! Or, wait for price reductions on Sunday!! See yo’ there... Aye aye!

PS Early birds will be drawn and quartered.
