The chips could be ground out but would severely compromise the base. I think it would be easier to locate a Cabochon butter dish in any cutting or etch that has a good base and make the switch.

Another rare piece. Fostoria, Meadow Rose Ice bucket in azure blue. Correct handle and tongs. 6 x 4.5 and I checked every time I looked at it, ~15 times and no damage. Replacements Ltd. doesn't even have a picture, so they have never seen one. Watch this one till the end!

Sterling Silver sugar tong 3.25 inches. Quite light yet uncommon. The was the hallmark for D. S. Spaulding Co.. In business from 1896-1917. Weird to think that my grandparents weren't even alive and their parents were just getting to know each other.

Time for another clean up. Corner of the counter from the first toaster all the way to the sun tea jug. Look at the faceted crystal stopper that didn't have a decanter to fit in. May be some chips in this lot.

Wash basin marked Leland , is from McNicol-Smith Co., East Liverpool Ohio. The Leland mark dates this bowl to 1899-1901. 16 x 4 with crazing and staining

Chamber pot by Taylor Smith and Taylor. Also East Liverpool pottery district. This is their first mark, 1901- 1904. Hard to see in the pictures but the stilt marks are on the inside of the bowl and not under the bottom. So heavy that it was fired upside down. 9 x 7
