With GREAT HONOR, we present the long awaited
MODROO FARMS & RESIDENCE SALE
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY DECEMBER 8, 9, 10
It's been a few years in the making and the time has finally come. It is our great honor to offer the public an amazing and diverse inventory of the Modroo Farm's Property! Built in 1872 the Modroo Family claimed ownership in 1916. It has not changed hands since. Generations of Modroo's have housed their many treasures on the property (as well as personal property of the previous owners) and now the time has come to divest all the collections that have been unearthed. As our client is diligently working to insure that all Modroo family members have what they wish, we do wish to disclaim that the family has the right to pull any item pictured as they may have not been aware of it's existence. We guarantee it will be an item that is more important to the Modroo Family lineage than it will be to you.
This is a multi-building Sale. Lines will be delineated for each area. We ask for your patience and understanding as there may be a considerable wait to enter the buildings. Be sure to wear your long johns and bring a warm toasty drink to keep the chill off. Here's a lineup of what you'll find in each building:
THE RESIDENCE: Please note, only select areas of the home will be open. The grande Farmhouse offers a variety of amazing household items including original to the property antiques, vintage and 'newer' items for everyday living. Items are located in select areas of the main floor and a large amount of inventory is in the lower level which requires ease in navigating stairs. Everything from Roseville, Hall, cut & pressed glass. Copious amounts of kitchen ware: current, vintage & antique. Glorious serving items in holiday tones of glass, ceramics, pottery and porcelain! Of course we have cast iron, cookware, small appliances, utensils and so much more. A great deal of the larger cookware is on the lower level, along with various other curious and collectible items. The main residence offers a respectable mix of furnishings, home goods and collections.
And, we present the coveted SABCO BREW MAGIC V350 SYSTEM, complete with HLT, MT, Brew Kettle, stand, burners, pump, brew schedule controller, natural gas-convertible to propane. Our clients take their brewing seriously!
Can't wait to see you at our sale. Setup was 3182.
THE STORE: For many years the 'Store' served a multitude of functions. From 'Farm Fresh' produce, apples, corn, herbs and veggies it morphed into a good old fashioned 'general store' complete with rustic and country simple gifts, curiosities, local arts, home goods and accessories! We've recreated it's feel with a great deal of new 'old stock'! You'll find a lovely selection of store items along with collected rustic and farm accessories collected over the years! Fun & unique Christmas decor to a plethora of gorgeous hand tooled, english, and 'Show Winning' saddles. A touch of 'Tack' items will grace the store including saddle racks and a variety of horse related accessories. The 'Store' is packed with perfect gifts for the upcoming Holidays. You'll feel welcome from the moment you walk to the front porch flanked by milk jugs, chicken coops, corn bales, bushels and apple crates! It's truly an old time country store!
