John A. Ruthven Original Watercolor and Gouache on Paper "White Footed Mouse and Russulas": A rare original watercolor and gouache painting on paper by celebrated wildlife artist and conservationist John A. Ruthven (b. 1924) titled White Footed Mouse and Russulas. This painting depicts a charming scene of two white-footed mice under the safe cover of a patch of wild russula mushrooms. Signed and copyrighted in pencil to lower right. Housed behind glass with a white-on-white double mat, presented inside a decorative gilt wood frame with hanging wire and artist’s title sticker to the verso. Provenance: Ex Collection of Jane Sikes Hageman, author, bird watcher, and friend of the artist.Early 20th C. Tobacco Card Top Games Table: An antique tobacco card top games table, ca. 1900. Adhered under an epoxy resin top and framed by brass tone metal, are original tobacco advertisement baseball cards from the early 20th century. Notable cards include Hall-of-Famers, T206 Christy Mathewson, T206 Ty Cobb (Bat on Shoulder Variation) and Nap Lajoie. The table stands on four ring-turned legs ending in talon feet, each clutching a clear glass orb.1953 Rookwood Pottery Vase by Rueben Earl Menzel: A signed, 1953 Rookwood Pottery vase bearing the incised mark of master potter Rueben Earl Menzel to bottom. The vase features a simple baluster form with flared lip and rolled foot. The finish is high-gloss having a brownish gold underglaze and light blue to violet gradation to the primary glaze with fantastic dripping at the neck. The RP reverse flame logo and Roman numeral date “LIII” are marked to the underside along with the artists’ three-initial cipher “REM”. Menzel decorated Rookwood Pottery from 1896 through the early 1950s and had the longest tenure of any employee in the company’s history, spending 63 years with the firm.Hand-Painted Art Nouveau German Photograph Album: An attractive, hand-painted Art Nouveau photograph album assembled by C. Feigler Karlsruhe of Germany. The album pages feature gifted edges and windows laid out to display photographs of varying size. They are housed in an embossed cushioned binding having a female figure adorned with a crown of ivy and holding red flowers painted to the center front of cover. A label sticker is affixed to the bottom left of an interior page for “C. Feigler Karlsruhe”.Charles Warde Traver Original Oil on Canvas: An original oil on canvas by New York based artist illustrator Charles Warde Traver (1870-1945). This romantic nocturne scene depicts the portrait of a red-haired beauty holding a bouquet of roses in her lap, sitting against a darkened landscape with moon-lit waters fading off into the background. Faintly signed in blue paint to lower center. Housed in the original aesthetic movement frame. A dust cover and wire for hanging present to the reverse.

Charles Warde Traver, or C. Warde Traver, as he signed his work, was an accomplished illustrator from Ann Arbor, Michigan, who eventually settled in New York. His most prominent works were examples such as the one offered here, nocturnal illustrations of women. Her work was oft-published in popular magazines during the early 20th century.Karl Kappes Original Oil on Canvas Landscape: An untitled, original oil on canvas painting of a landscape by Ohio-born artist Karl Kappes (1861-1943). The scene depicts a richly colored autumnal landscape with a tree-lined stream tapering off from the center of the canvas. The piece is signed by hand in maroon paint to lower right. Louis Charles Vogt was well known in Cincinnati for painting the surrounding area, and often took on commissions for the homes of prominent Cincinnatians.Syroco Wood Federal Style Convex Mirror: A vintage, federal style convex wall mirror by the Syracuse Ornamental Co. Inc. The frame is constructed from molded wood and applied with a gilt finish. It features an American Eagle cartouche, acanthus scrolls and lobed decoration to the bottom while a black painted interior border has studded embellishment. The backside panel is covered in brown felt with a ring hook for hanging and a manufacturer’s foiled sticker label is also retained on the reverse.George Rouault Restrike Lithograph of a Woman in Profile: A restrike lithograph in colors after the French modernist George Dominique Rouault (French, 1904-2002). The work is unsigned, as is typical of many of the artist’s series, and housed in a modern frame under glass.
