One of the most significant collections to sell at The Garth's Auction Barn in many years, The Bruce & Vivalyn Knight Collection will encompass more than 800 lots of choice Americana, folk art, and fine decorative arts. Categories include American, European, and Asian 18th & 19th Century antique furniture, fine art, folk art, and decorative objects including ceramics (historical staffordshire, yellow ware, soft paste porcelain, mocha, leeds, shell edge, Gaudy Dutch, and more), sterling silver, glass (including Pittsburgh, Zanesville, etc.), decorated stoneware, textiles including quilts, coverlets, samplers, etc.. Very large collection - a rare opportunity to see some of the finest antiques available on the market today!
My team and I are honored to represent the auction of the personal Americana and Antiques Collection of Bruce & Vivalyn Knight of Springfield, Ohio. Well-known pillars and visionaries in the antiques community, the Knights not only filled their home with exceptional examples of antique American furniture as well as beautiful American and European antique decorative arts, they cultivated lasting friendships along the way. It is fitting that the Knights’ collection should sell at Garth Oberlander’s historical barn in Delaware, Ohio, where iconic pieces and industry legends have come together in a spirit of shared enthusiasm for decades. ~ Amelia Jeffers
