If you wish to return an item call Civil War Antiques to advise and give the reason. Any returns must be made within three days of receipt. Damaged items may not be returned until examined by the common carrier, UPS, USPS, or FedX. Do NOT discard any packing materials if your item(s) arrive damaged. The carrier will inspect the packing materials and damaged item(s).

LiveAuctioneers will automatically bill the high bidder's credit card for the entire amount of the invoice unless the bidder calls Dave Taylor / Civil War Antiques on Monday after the auction and asks to be opted out of LivePay.


Current federal law mandates that LiveAuctioneers collect sales tax due in the bidder's home state, unless the bidder files tax exempt status with LiveAuctioneers.

We ship inside the USA only. Non US bidders may not bid without first contacting Dave Taylor / Civil War Antiques and arranging shipment through a third party in the states.


LiveAuctioneers invoices sometimes defaults to their Live-Ship system. This is usually very pricey and we have no control over it. Check your invoice carefully before paying online. We always offer fair cost in house shipping. For this you need to select 3rd Party Shipping when you pay your invoice to LiveAuctioneers, and then call us to let us know. You then pay the shipping fee by credit card over the phone with us, and are not billed for shipping by L-A. Insurance is $2 per $100 in value. No shipments outside the USA.
