| Terms and Conditions Deadlines and close of Internet bidding
Items will begin to close three items per minute at the scheduled date and start time of the online auction, and will sell to the winning Internet buyers at that time. The items will close in the order listed on the website. This auction will feature our automatic extension system which grants a five minute extension to the end of the auction of any item receiving a bid during the last few minutes. The item will then close when five minutes have elapsed without any activity. Buyer's Contract
Your Internet bids are a contract and you are responsible for honoring them. Item descriptions
All items are sold as is - where is. In the case of obvious faults (chips, cracks, significant damage, etc) we do our best to list the fault within the description. We will provide descriptions based on our assessment of an item. However, we do not assume that our assessment of condition will be the same as your assessment. Most of the items we sell are antique, vintage, or used. You should expect signs of wear consistent with age and we will not list every flaw associated with each item as these are to be expected. We offer a public preview inspection for the sole purpose of allowing you the opportunity to see it in person before placing a bid. If you are unsure of an items condition make arrangements to attend the preview and please bid accordingly. Sales Tax
All sales are subject to appropriate state sales tax laws. Vendors must provide the appropriate Vendors license information (state and license #) prior to the end of the auction. Once we receive your information you are not required to resend it for future auctions unless it is upon EBTH's request. Penalties
Purchases not paid for and picked up in accordance with the removal terms will be forfeit and resold with no credit given to the buyer. The buyer's account will then be turned over to collections for the combined total of the original invoice amount and moving or disposal charges. Successful bidders who will be picking up items in person can pay for purchases during the designated removal and payment times listed above. We accept cash, checks, and up to $1000 on MasterCard or Visa with no surcharge. Winning buyers with questions of how to make payment should email contact@ebth.org. If you cannot pay for and pick up the items during the times specified, please do not bid Shipping requests
If you have won an item and would like to have it shipped just reply to the email invoice you receive following the auction close with your shipping request. For items that can be easily boxed and shipped
We ship to the continental US via UPS only. If you have purchased items at one of our auctions and it must be shipped to you, we would be happy to do so for the actual shipping costs plus the associated handling charges. Payment for items to be shipped must be made by providing a Visa or Mastercard number. If you are bidding on items and plan to have them shipped it is best to provide us with a credit card number prior to the close of the auction to expedite the shipping process. The card number must be provided to us by calling 513.505.9071 or emailing the card type, card number, expiration date, and 3 digit VREF number (on the reverse) to contact@ebth.org. Credit cards will be placed on file in association with your bidder number in the event of future shipping requests. Your card will be charged the combined total of the purchase amount, associated taxes, actual UPS shipping charges, and handling charges based on the terms outlined below. A revised invoice with shipping and handling charges will be included with your order. The merchandise should be shipped prior to ten business days after the scheduled auction removal and payment date. Alternate pickup
If after winning an item you determine you are unable to pick up your items during the scheduled removal date and time you must contact us 24 hours prior to the scheduled removal date and time to determine if alternate arrangements can be made. This should only be considered as a last resort and on an exception basis. We may be able to arrange for the transport of items to our warehouse in Fairfax, OH (EBTH's discretion) and arrange for an alternate pickup date and time (subject to availability). Payment for items to be picked up at an alternate location must be made by providing a Visa or Mastercard number prior to the original scheduled removal and payment date. Credit cards will be placed on file in association with your bidder number in the event of future alternate pickup requests. For items which require shipping through a freight carrier
We will assist in meeting the carrier of your choice to pickup the item at the advertised auction location during the above advertised pickup times only. It is the bidder's responsibility to make arrangements to have the items crated if necessary and prepared for freight pickup prior to the advertised payment and removal date. Please see the penalties section above to review the terms for failure to pickup or arrange for pickup of an item during the specified times. Payment for items to be picked up by a freight carrier must be made by providing a Visa or Mastercard number. If you are bidding on items and plan to have them picked up it is best to provide us with a credit card number prior to the close of the auction to expedite the process. Items easily boxed and shipped (EBTH's discretion) are subject to a $2.50 handling fee per lot with a $5.00 minimum handling fee. Items which require special packaging (i.e. some artwork, odd sized or fragile items) may be subject to the actual packaging charges associated with a third party agent (i.e. The UPS Store, etc). Items which have been moved from one location to another in order to make alternate pickup arrangments are subject to a $2.50 handling fee per lot with a $5.00 minimum handling fee. EBTH is not responsible for the acts or omissions in our packing or shipping of purchased lots or of other carriers or packers of purchased lots, whether or not recommended by us. Packing and handling of purchased lots is at the entire risk of the purchaser. Credit card surcharge
