Historic Southwest/Midwest/OK Art & Collectibles Sale by Allen

We are thrilled to bring to you an historic sale of museum-grade, significant, exceedingly rare art; the largest sale of Southwest, MidWest, Oklahoma Art & Collectibles in well over a decade. This 6,000 sq. ft sale contains exhibited pieces from renowned collector, dealer and historian, the late Kelly Knowlton. Knowlton was a preeminent collector of many things, including Oklahoma Art, spending decades acquiring a vast amount. These items were hand-picked by his expert eye, all skillfully curated by one of our region’s most knowledgeable dealers.

The sale contains Fine Art, Southwestern Art, Contemporary Art, Mid-Century Art, Native American Art, Pop Art, Folk Art; interesting pieces that are Mid-Century Modern, eclectic and bohemian, and MUCH more. 

Pieces and prices vary, as do the art movements, mediums, and subjects. There is something for everyone!

There are HUNDREDS of Amero preparatory drawings, photographs, and more, direct from his estate.

There are also HUNDREDS of J. Jay McVicker works, again, purchased directly from his estate. 

In addition to the collection of Amero and J. Jay McVicker originals, we also have lithographs, signed prints, etc.. This means their works are accessible to all, both beginning art collectors or the more experienced.

This Sale contains some of our region's most notable artistic creators and contributors, including Oscar Jacobson, Nan Sheets and four of their renowned "Baker's Dozen." There are nationally recognized artists, with works shown in galleries all over the state, region, and nation. Some of these pieces were the ones displayed in museums. Many of these artists were academics at universities all over the nation, including The University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Tulsa.

Much of the pottery was purchased from beloved Bartlesville gallery owner and artist, the late Jody Kirberger. It was her personal collection.
