There was a time when you didn’t need much of a plan.

You watched the weather, felt which way the wind was blowing, packed what you needed, and headed for the water.

The sail went up. The shoreline got smaller. And for a few hours, there really wasn’t anywhere else you needed to be.

Those are the kinds of memories tucked inside this Albany home.

There Was Always Wind in the Sails is a sale filled with pieces of a life that was lived, enjoyed and collected along the way. Some things are practical. Some are beautiful. Some are wonderfully nostalgic. And some will probably remind you of something you haven’t thought about in years.

As we work our way through the home, we’re uncovering a wonderful mix of furnishings, décor, collectibles, household goods, useful everyday pieces and plenty of unexpected finds.

This isn’t one of those sales where you walk in, grab one thing and leave.

Take your time. Wander a little. Look twice.

Because every once in a while, something sitting quietly on a shelf has a way of taking you somewhere you haven’t been in a very long time.

And maybe that’s why we keep these things.

Not because they’re just things.

Because once upon a time, there was always wind in the sails.
