The owner ran a bookstore on NW 23rd Avenue, worked as a travel guide, and was into scubadiving, traveling, photography, quilting, art, and architecture – she designed the house! She picked up some unique items on her travels abroad, amassed a large number of signed first edition books, and had great taste in furniture and collectibles.

Quality high-end furniture in this sale: a Theodore Alexander mahogany bookcase and a matching Theodore Alexander mahogany bombe chest of drawers (both from the Althorp Living History Collection – based on the original George III, circa 1770) – both are in like-new condition.
