Salem Auction House Terms & Conditions. All property is sold AS IS, WHERE IS and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Neither Salem Auction House LLC or the Consignor makes any representation or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability, fitness, or condition of the property or as to the correctness of description, genuineness, attribution, provenance, or period of the property. All measurements are approximate. In the case of vintage clothing, assume there are stains. By registering for a bidding number, either in person, on-line or when placing an absentee, telephone, or facsimile (fax) bid, you agree to these Terms & Conditions of Sale. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds, no exchanges, no returns, no warranties expressed or implied.

Be aware that any display items (jewelry necks or trays, baskets, boxes, etc.) are used for display only and are the property of Salem Auction House LLC. If the display item is included in the lot, it will be noted in the description.

A premium of twenty (20) percent will be added to the winning bid for all online bidders. Additionally, on-line purchasers are responsible for all shipping and transport charges if they chose not to pick their item up.

There is no charge for registration for those who have participated in auctions with us up until March 1st, 2024. For new customer account creations, to achieve Basic Certification, you will be charged a small fee which shall be no more than £3.99 + VAT (the “Registration Fee”) which covers the costs of verifying the details that you have submitted. The Registration Fee shall remain valid for a term of five years, provided the Salem Auction House continues its Snoofa Software license. In the event the Salem Auction House terminates its Snoofa Software license before the expiry of five years, the Salem Auction House may require you to re-register with another software provider and you should discuss this with the Salem Auction House directly. Payment of the Registration Fee shall be processed through Stripe, subject to and in accordance with its terms and conditions. You should familiarize yourself with Stripe’s terms as Snoofa shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused because of you using Stripe including but not limited to in the event that payment fails, is intercepted due to hacking or cyber-attack, or any loss of Personal Data or Financial Data provided to Stripe. Salem Auction House LLC requires a valid driver's license, and agreement to all Terms & Conditions.

On the fall of the Auctioneer's hammer, title to the offered lot or article passes to the highest bidder who assumes full risk and responsibility thereof.

All State and Federal laws will be observed regarding the sale of handguns. If you are not a resident of Oregon, you must have a current Federal Firearms License to take delivery of firearms or have an FFL holder in your state take delivery of firearms for you. Firearms purchases are subject to a $15 background check fee.

All purchases are to be paid for in Cash, a Cashier's Check, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, or Discover, during or immediately after each Auction. Salem Auction House LLC reserves the option to hold purchases until authorization is obtained on credit cards or Cashier's Checks. No lot may be transferred to another buyer. Invoice payments will be run automatically post auction if prior arrangements have not been made with Salem Auction House.

Purchases may be removed during or at the conclusion of each auction session beginning at time of Auction. Additionally, local pickups can be arranged during Salem Auction House LLC’s business hours (listed within terms of each auction). Salem Auction House is located at 2828 Cherry Ave NE Salem OR 97301. Assume all pickups are at this location unless specified otherwise in auction instructions.

Purchases must be picked up within 10 days (unless arrangements have been made) or they will be considered abandoned.

Should Salem Auction House LLC be prevented by fire, theft, or any reason whatsoever from delivery of any property to the purchaser, our liability shall be limited to the sum actually paid by the purchaser.

Salem Auction House LLC reserves the right to withdraw any property at any time before actual sale or reject a bid from any bidder.

Auctioneer sets minimum bids at time of sale. If no bids reach that amount the item will be passed. It may or may not be offered in our next auction. The starting bid amount online may be too low and will not be honored if Auctioneer does not go that low during the Auction.

Shipping and handling charges must be paid within 5 business days of invoice generation or items will be subject to storage fees (amount at discretion of Salem Auction House dependent on size and time) or may be considered abandoned at the discretion of Salem Auction House.
