Description & Details
We usually start out by saying “our next sale is here” and we are doing the same for this sale. There are no ordinary sales. Every sale is different and every sale is special! But we ask you to pay close attention to this sale! Since our area of Central PA is usually primitive, vintage and sometimes modern, this sale will be none-of-the-above. It is unique, at least for our area! Our sale at Locust Street in Williamsport is mostly gorgeous, rare, hard-to-find, Asian/Oriental far eastern style furnishings and furniture. This owner bought the best of the best during her world travels and brought it back to adorn her home here in Williamsport. That being said, we are bringing in a few items from other homes so that everyone can find something they are looking for.
This sale will be held on Wednesday from 12 noon until 6pm. We will again be open on Thursday with most items being off 25% from 8:30am-3pm.Friday, we will be open from 8:30am-2pm and will be off 50% on most items still remaining. We not only have this huge original double home that is now totally one home, but we will have other items in the two car garage which is detached from the home.
To begin with, we will start in the Dining Room which features a gorgeous glass covered traditional Chinese Rosewood table with 8 chairs. This table does not even have a scratch that we could find on any of the chairs. We also have another 4 chairs which match the original 8 chairs to the set. This table is very reasonably priced compared to new ones available for purchase at finer furniture stores! Also in the dining room we have a beautiful black lacquer breakfront hutch with beveled glass and lighted sections. This item not only accents the table in the room, but hints at the other beautiful items in the home as well! Also in the dining area is a beautiful Tortoise Bamboo and rattan occasional table featuring woven surfaces and curved support bases. This room also has a vintage Chinese Black Lacquer octagonal side table/plant stand/or drum stool. It features hand painted gold accents and intricate mother-of-pearl inlay depicting birds and flowers. You just have to see this piece to behold it’s beauty! Also in this area we have several theatrical masks (Thai Khon Mask of Tosakanth) two of which are both in original papier mache and also one which is a miniaturized version of the larger theatrical masks. On the walls we have several larger oriental fans featuring beautiful flowers and birds. There are also two Bali painted scenes inside of original hand carved frames. Both are artist signed prints which are from Ubud, Bali art district. On the tables in this room we have several pieces of Chinese porcelain from the Qing Dynasty. There are other items throughout the room such as Ralph Loren Crystal, Traditional Japanese Masu dovetailed wooden square sake cups. Moroccan Mini Tangine Spice and condiment holders, Japanese Rice Bowls, Vintage Russian Khokhloma hand painted wooden scalloped serving tray with 6 matching pedestal cups, a black cloisonne enamel vase and matching decorative tray set, a traditional Chinese Tea set featuring a yellow background with Multi-colored flying dragon with four handleless cups, Blue/White porcelain plates, a Russian Hand Painted papier mache black lacquer trinket box, an antique or very vintage Mexican hand painted wooden trinket box, a Chinese Blue/White porcelain ginger jar with Fu Dog finial handle, Luminarc France Clear Red Ball Stem Flutes/Glasses, 2 matching Luxury Martinie Glasses with Figural Metal Stems and enameled bases (Possibly 2 Saints), A Fijian Sali (Gunstock-style club) and a Fijian Cannibal fork. This table is in immaculate condition and is glass covered to protect the top. It features a diorama made of jade and soapstone and is accented by gilded paint on a black lacquer background. Around the edges are mother-of-pearl inlays all in great condition as well as more gilded paint and accents around the crown of the table and along the legs. There is no lifting of inlays and the table looks like showroom new! In the main living room there are two matching leather sofas with one being a full size three cushion couch and the other being a matching loveseat. Both sofas, from the Soft Line Group features a three tone look with tan and light cream colors. On the far wall of the hallway, there is a gorgeous Victorian walnut men’s dresser with marble top and gorgeous Victorian handles. Probably from the 1880’s, this is definitely not an item you are going to find at your local furniture store! On the stairs leading to the 2nd floor there is an awesome Butler Vivienne Crown Bone Inlay Wall Mirror featuring handcrafted floral and fine motifs inlaid on a wooden frame. Further up the stairs is a beautiful carved wooden door frame cover from Asia that has been weathered to a beautiful patina.

Checkout will be on the porch at this sale so feel free to travel throughout this and the other kitchen.
