About Mary Norton:
Over the last fifteen years, designer and entrepreneur, Mary Norton has won critical acclaim and loyal fans for her magnificent, whimsical, accessories designs as well as for her achievements and persistence as an entrepreneurial female business leader.

What sprung from a literal dream in 1998 became the first of Mary’s three accessories brands, Moo Roo, followed by her red carpet, luxury brand Mary Norton in 2006, and subsequently by her accessible price point daytime and complete accessories line. Frosting by Mary Norton launched in 2010. Mary’s designs have been a staple of the red carpet and a favorite of the fashion press. Celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Uma Thurman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Queen Latifah, Halle Berry, Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Sharon Stone, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, etc…have all worn Mary’s designs for many years. Her brands have been featured in Vogue, Elle, InStyle, Marie Claire, Harpers Bazaar, InTouch Weekly, People, The New York Times, Vanity Fair and many others. Mary herself has been featured on The Today Show, E! Red Carpet Oscars Report, Extra, and appears regularly on HSN as a designer with top airtime ratings. As a business woman, Mary has been named a Top Female Entrepreneur by the National SBA and by Ernst & Young. Her company was named as one of Inc. Magazine’s top 100 small businesses and Mary regularly participates at Wharton School of Business with their entrepreneurial programs.

Mary is the mother of two daughters, Micah (Moo) and Reilly (Roo).
She designs and commutes to her adventures from her home base of Charleston, SC.

In September 2006 majority stake in Moo Roo was acquired by a luxury investment fund and relaunched under the name of Mary Norton, Inc. Production for the Mary Norton handbag and the first-ever shoe collections moved to Italy, and two U.S. boutiques opened under the new brand name (a flagship store on King Street in Charleston, South Carolina and Melrose Place in Los Angeles, California). In 2007, Mary was honored with the prestigious Footwear News Launch of the Year Award for a ground-breaking year of growth and stellar design.
Sadly, in the summer of 2009, Mary Norton Inc.'s doors were closed do to harsh economic circumstances.
But for Mary, who is no stranger to trials and tribulations, this was just a temporary setback.
2010 brings a new decade and a new chapter for Mary Norton. Applying the unique mix of entrepreneurial, marketing and design knowledge that Mary has acquired over the last twelve years, Mary is now consulting and collaborating with various brands in many different capacities.
