Dr. Earle and Mrs. Julia Brailsford Hodge came to Cheraw in 1947. The Estate includes antique, mid-century modern and traditional furniture; large collections of crystal, silver (some sterling), glassware, and kitchen items; original oil-on-canvas paintings, prints, lamps, rugs (including Karastan and one hand-knotted silk), mirrors and other items too numerous to mention. Sale includes items purchased during the two years the family lived in Germany in the late 50’s and items purchased by Mrs. Hodge during her overseas travels.
