The estate of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hardy (Harley) Hodges of Dillon, SC.
After WWII Mr. Harley and "Miss" Addie opened Hodge's Cafe' and General Store. They sold everything from fireworks, exotic animals, concrete and statuary, antiques, guns and fried chicken. They were avid collectors of lamps and lighting, metalware, old tools and farm related items. Mr. Harley dug for bottles, collected bottles, traded in bottles and amassed one of the finest collections we've ever seen. While he dealt and traded in many areas of the collectible market, his ephemera stash is absolutely fascinating. Never have we seen the receipts, letterheads, logos and vignettes in such abundance. The Dillon, SC pieces alone are in the hundreds. Dillon Coke, Dillon Pepsi, Blenheim Bottleworks, Pineland Dairy among numerous others. We have SC books and bottles and a US South Carolina issue Springfield Trapdoor rifle. Other items of interest include:
