Philippe Langdon Cabinet with Ladder: A Philippe Langdon cabinet with a ladder. The cabinet is walnut wood and veneer with a bevel edge top and three cabinets with wood shelves and carved foliate dividers, two half drawers with brass tone pulls and a brass tone bar across the face of the bookshelf with a rolling wood ladder. Other features include a bottom cabinet with three cabinets that have sliding wood shelves, double doors with a veneer and wood applique design brass tone drop pulls and the cabinet sits on a plinth style base.After Pietro da Cortona Acrylic Painting on Canvas "Venus as Huntress Appears to Aeneas": An acrylic painting on canvas titled Venus as Huntress Appears to Aeneas, after Italian painter and architect Pietro da Cortona (1596-1669). This piece presents a scene from Roman mythology in which Venus, surrounded by cherubim, disguises herself to guide her son, Aeneas, and his companion to Dido’s palace during the Trojan War. Dramatic, expressive poses and exaggerated light characterize this Baroque composition, originally painted in oil in 1631.
