Mr. Shelhart held at least 6 major patents in his lifetime. Among others, He invented and patented the first hydraulic system for hospital beds in the United States. He also held the patents on the Hydraulic Systems still used today for raising and lowering convertible tops on the Automobile. A very versatile and talented man his patents have affected many of us in our life experiences. Following is the portion of his Estate that the family has decided to sell.
