Estate Sales By Kara
Description & Details
Some folks call it “grandma core.” Around here, it feels like home—the kind of home that may soon become a cherished memory. 💗
This sale feels like one of those last little Grandma houses, filled with good dishes, treasured keepsakes, and things saved because they still had plenty of life left in them. You may walk through and find yourself saying, “My grandma had one of those.”
For me, it brings back memories of my grandmother Sylvia Johnston, whom we lovingly called “Gurney.” She passed away in 1987, but she was a local picker long before treasure hunting became a trend. She had an eye for the beautiful, the useful, and the things worth saving. Preparing this home has made me think of her often—and wish I could show her what we’re doing now.
As you shop, you may find more than a dish or lamp. You may find a little piece of your childhood, a familiar shape from your grandmother’s kitchen, or something that brings back a memory you haven’t visited in years.
Your purchases will also help support a local family caring for their loved one in her mid-90s, while giving her treasured belongings new homes where they can be enjoyed for years to come. ♥️
We can’t wait to see you and hear who this home reminds you of!
See you soon!
