Stiha, a Yugoslavian-born artist who later worked in the Americas, is known for vibrant, expressive scenes inspired by European and South American influences. Hubert Shuptrine Watercolor – “Alma’s Cellar,” 1978 Beautiful watercolor by celebrated Chattanooga artist Hubert Shuptrine, titled Alma’s Cellar and dated 1978. This richly detailed still life depicts baskets of potatoes and apples beside a farmhouse window, rendered in Shuptrine’s distinctive watercolor technique that closely resembles tempera painting. Shuptrine was internationally recognized for his masterful control of watercolor and his deeply atmospheric Southern subjects. His works are held in major museum and private collections.

A rare studio work by renowned American artist Hubert Shuptrine (1940–2006) titled “Left in the Studio.” This striking watercolor and graphite study was discovered among papers in Shuptrine’s studio after his death. Measuring approximately 30" x 22¼", the unfinished portrait captures a quiet, emotional moment—an extraordinary find for collectors of Southern art.

Robert Vickrey – “The Box” Atmospheric figurative work titled The Box by noted American artist Robert Vickrey. This evocative composition depicts a seated figure holding a small box, rendered in Vickrey’s distinctive tonal style. Verso retains original Midtown Galleries, New York label (A.D.
