Description & Details
COLUMBIA, TENNESSEE ESTATE SALE NOT TO BE MISSED!
For six decades the Frank and Jean Walker family have occupied this 1935, four story "plantation-style" brick home with quintessential white columned-porch. It resembles one of the county's fine antebellum homes like Rippavilla, Rattle and Snap or the Polk Home. In that time they filled the house with many treasures from their extensive travels in Asia, South America and especially Europe. Frank Walker was a pioneer in the preservation of Columbia's historic downtown district as the founder of the Main Street program. Without Walker much of downtown Columbia's historic charm would have been lost. They were involved in many civic enterprises and enjoyed a wide-circle of activities, friends and culture. This home and its contents reflect those broad interests. This estate sale presents the rare opportunity to acquire many lovely, quality furnishings, vintage clothing items, antiques and collectibles from a long-time Columbia family.
As this home is so large and the items found inside are so varied that we will be posting hundreds of photographs even up to the days before the sale.
