Stevens Auction Company is proud to announce the commission to sell at public auction the contents of one of Jackson's most historic Victorian mansions, "Green Gables", built in 1895. Also included in this giant one day event will be the contents of another prominent estate from Memphis, and another complete estate from Nashville TN., all containing fabulous antiques.  This auction will include Federal, Empire, and late Victorian furniture, as well as hundreds of brilliant cut glass pieces, Sterling Silver, Old Paris and other fine porcelains, exquisite China, antique clocks and oil lamps, original works of art, hand-made antique rugs, large antique pier mirrors, unique Primitive pieces, as well as hundreds of other fine home furnishings. 

This lovely historic home is setting on three and a half acres close to Jackson General Hospital and Downtown Jackson TN.  The grounds are beautiful and feature not only this "Victorian Painted Lady", but also has three historic out buildings, a three unit grain bin, carriage house, and a caretakers small one room living quarters.  “Green Gables”, erected in the late 1800’s, is rich in history and has been a subject of many historians and authors.  It has been mentioned in many books about Madison County and has been the location of many weddings and other special events.
