 Lots begin closing on Sunday, February 4th at 2:00PM EST – Lots will stay open as long as bidders continue to bid.  If someone bids with 60 seconds or less time to go, the lot will extend until there is no activity on that lot until the clock runs out on that item. Keep this in mind when placing maximum bids and letting the computer bid for you.  Lot 100 will not close at 2PM.  The bidding starts counting down at 2PM. As long as no further bids are placed, the items will start closing. If you are confused by this, please call our office and a staff member can assist to explain further.

TERMS: Payment due in full by 12:00PM on Monday, February 5th. Cash or approved check with bank letter. 10% buyer’s premium added to high bid for cash/checks and 13% buyer’s premium added to high bid on credit or bank cards to establish total contract sales price. If you wish to pay cash or check, you have until 12:00PM on Monday, February 5th, at our office located at 6729 Pleasant Ridge Road – Knoxville, TN 37921 to pay. After 12 noon all credit/debit cards will be processed for payment. 

You, the bidder agrees to not stop payment on checks, disallow a bank draft, dispute a credit/debit card charge, and/or any type of payment. The bidder will be fully responsible for any expenses due to collection of any type payment. For any type of charge backs incurred, the auctioneer may seek to obtain a judgement locally that can potentially be transferred to the buyer’s jurisdiction. Auctioneer will be entitled to any attorney fees incurred in collecting monies. All parties agree that any litigation will be filled in Knoxville, TN.

ONLINE BIDDERS: At the end of the sale, you may receive an email stating that you may have won an item. If you did when items, on Monday, February 5th, Powell Auction & Realty, LLC will send you an email stating the you are the high bidder, with an invoice attached. This invoice may not include credit card fees.

PICKUP/REMOVAL: Tuesday, February 6th from 9AM – 5PM EST – ALL items must be picked up at the HOME located at 5209 Holston Drive – Knoxville, TN 37914. The furnishings are NOT located at Powell Auction in Knoxville. Please make plans to pick up on the designated pickup day at the designated pick up location at 5209 Holston Drive. PLEASE NOTE: There is limited parking at this property. Please call the office at 865-938-3403 to schedule an appointment to pick up your items.

If you know you will be out of town – please have a friend or relative pick up your items for you or just don’t bid. All items need to be removed on the designated pick up day. We have to be out of the house at the close of this day. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.  Failure to pick up your items may result in forfeiture of those items. Everything must be paid for prior to pick up. No monies will be accepted at the house for security concerns. Powell Auction & Realty, LLC is NOT responsible for any ITEMS that are left at conclusion of pickup time.

All items are located at the house at 5209 Holston Drive – Knoxville, TN 37914.  This is the address where you will preview the items and pick them up once the auction is over. Please be sure to bring your boxes, paper, bubble wrap, tools to take furniture apart, help to carry your furniture & items out of the house to load, and whatever else you might need in order to remove your items after the sale. Powell Auction employees will be on hand to assist in locating items, bringing smalls to the front and to assist in loading when and where we can, but you should not rely solely on our employees, as they will be busy helping everyone. We appreciate your patience and assistance in quick and easy load outs. After the auction is complete, “lookers” will not be allowed into the house.

FIREARM PURCHASE: Out of State Purchases: ALL will be shipped to an FFL DEALER ONLY (NO C&R dealers)!!! NO SALES to CALIFORNIA or HAWAII!!! It is YOUR responsibility to know YOUR state laws, BEFORE bidding!!! In State Purchases: ALL firearms are subject to TBI background checks ($10.00), regardless of age. Purchaser must have a valid Driver License with a photo and must be at least 18 years of age. Purchaser acknowledges that firearms have not been tested or inspected as to condition and ability to properly fire. It is the BUYER’S responsibility to have firearms inspected by a gunsmith prior to firing. Buyer agrees to hold Powell Auction & Realty, LLC harmless for any claim, injury or malfunction of a firearm. IF you think you may get denied, please DO NOT BID! IF you get denied, the gun will be resold at YOUR expense! GUN PICK UP: Monday, February 6th from 9:00AM-5:00PM. VEHICLE PURCHASE: Vehicle sold sold “AS-IS, HOW-IS with ALL FAULTS, WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND” and purchase is NON-REFUNDABLE. Buyers are responsible for inspecting the vehicle & verifying all information to their satisfaction prior to bidding. Vehicle titles will be ready for pickup (local buyer) or sent in mail (out of area buyer) on Thursday following the sale. 10% Buyer’s Premium and sales tax will be added to purchase.
