TAG SALE LISTING (These items are tagged with prices and available for purchase at the home, by appointment.)
ARTWORK  There is a ton of Art Prints in this sale.  Our client apparently did a buyout at the Craft Center in Gatlinburg where he acquired porcelains and thousands of Art Prints with their labels and prices on them, most signed and numbered, including the following artists:  Delores Roberson;Larry Icart;  Phillip Crowe; Brenda Simmons; Robert Summers; Larry Dyke; Bill Granstaff; Harry Antis; Robert Christie; Don Balke; Dorothy McClain; John Ruthven; Michael Sloan; Larry Burton; Paulette Monahan; David Wright; Jim Lamb and others.  We put photos of around half the works we separated out.  It looks like most items have a few duplicates but not all.  In Addition, there are lots of framed art pieces around the house.  Many of the original paintings are in the online auction, but there are more originals and many more prints in the tag sale. (The high end porcelains in the online auction were from the Craft Center, too.)
RUGS AND CARPETS:  Our client also shopped fanatically for carpets (maybe because he was Turkish?) and we estimate there are 340 in the house!  They range from Runners, to 6×8, 8×10 and larger!  Most are lovely; they have a nice knot count, and they are genuine handmade wool.  Most have tags with dimensions.  As you can see from the photos, there are 3 giant stacks in the house, plus every room is 2 or 3 deep.  If you want to look at every one, bring strong help and plan to take some time!  It will help if you bring dimensions you need.  Runners range from 3.5′ to 4.5′ wide and 8′ to 10′ long.  Great mix of colors and styles!!
PAPERWEIGHTS:  Our client bought and sold and traded all kinds of goods for decades and sometime in the 70’s (and maybe again later?) he bought thousands (yes really thousands) of paperweights, mostly wholesale from China, but we have many signed as well..  They are pretty and there are dozens and dozens of boxes of ‘new old stock,’ with 4 to 8 per box, in one room alone.  They’re priced to move!  Signed pieces include Joe St Clair and at least 3 others.
OTHER IMPORTS:  Along with paperweights, we have many multiples in nice Chinese Vases; Ceramic Figurines of animals and people; Brass figurines;  Cork Carvings; Backgammon and Chess Sets; Folding screens (some in auction, some Tagged)  Soapstone carvings (the real stone…not the resin stuff you see today); Celadon Vases; Cork Carvings and more.  See the photos.  Some items have hundreds of multiples; some  only a few.
STAMPS:  We have something like $20,000 face value in ‘new old stock’ US stamps.  See the photos.  There are some very collectible ones like State Bird and Flower and the Celebrate Century Series (all decades) Elivs blocks; Ronald Reagen blocks; Civil War etc etc.  There are dozens to hundreds of each type; buy some for the grandkids!
PENNIES FROM HEAVEN:  There are at least 100,000 pennies in the sale.  The range from 1909 into the 80’s.  The very earliest are in the online auction but starting from 1916 we have about 2000  rolls on offer.  There is a huge cache from the 60’s and 70’s that are still in bank rolls so presumably have interesting uncirculated numismatic value.  We have discovered that $50 in pennies is heavy!  If you hope to buy a lot, bring muscle.
COSTUME JEWELRY:  OMG there is a lot of jewelry here!  We emptied dozens of drawers from all size of cabinets and bagged it all up.  There is some great stuff here!  Will likes the belly dancing belts and ‘slave’ bracelets!  Lots of it will be sold in bag lots so a great opportunity for collectors and dealers.
SPORTS CARDS:  We have about 3 dozen cases of sports cards covering most major sports – and a lot of weird other cards, too.
POCKET KNIVES:  No regular flea market trader can do without some pocket knives and our client was no exception.  We have hundreds of random knives, some new old stock in boxes.
FLATWARE SETS:   We count over 30 full sets of silverplate and stainless, each with a box.  We put 3 sets in the auction but there are dozens more, and several crates of random flatware, too!
BUTTONS: We don’t know why but there are dozens of boxes of new old stock Buttons in the house.
