ONLINE AUCTION LISTING (Click the Link above to visit the auction site.)
- Stunning Drexel Highboy Chest-on-Chest. 39.5" wide, 20" deep, 87" tall. It has a 4-drawer bottom section on Queen Anne legs, that's adorned with Chippendale Batwing hardware and a carved clamshell in the bottom center drawer. The upper section has 3-over-4 drawers with matching hardware and carved clamshell, and it's topped with the "broken arch" pediment and finial. Condition is excellent and we don't see a scratch on it.
- Exceptionally Pretty Mahogany Vanity on modified Queen Anne legs, and adorned with beautiful carving. The lyre frame on the mirror is very reminiscent of Art Nouveau styling. 36" wide, 19" deep, 60" tall. In very good sturdy condition, the doors and drawers operate well. It appears to have the original finish, which is worn in spots but has a beautiful patina.
- Bose Acoustic Wave Music System, Model CD3000. Appears to be in good working condition, and has the remote.
- Handsome Antique 1-drawer Writing Desk, in Mahogany or Walnut, with pretty turned legs on wheels and an inset leather section on the top. The drawer has a working lockwith key. It's in very good sturdy condition with the original finish, that has wear on the front edge but a beautiful patina. 36" wide, 24" deep, 31" tall.
- Pretty Victorian Walnut Chair with Pink Velvet Upholstery. The top, sides and legs have ornate carvings, reminiscent of the Eastlake style. It's in good sturdy condition, with the original finish.
- Beautiful Full-Size Poster Bed, which this family had custom-made to copy one seen in the original Blount Mansion. (See photo of newspaper article.) The posts are finished, nicely tapered octagons, 83" tall, and there is a rail around the top to hang a curtain or canopy. Total width is about 58", and it's 81" long.
- Cozy Upholstered Chaise Lounge with a lush floral upholstery. In very good overall condition with no tears or holes. 29" wide, 64" long. Awesome for reading and naps.
- Extremely Unusual Antique Mahogany Desk, which originally had a Victrola built into the right side, so the right quarter of the desk folds over onto the middle, and you can still see the framing that held the player. Our client reports that she bought it originally from Maryville College. 51" wide, 27" deep, 30" tall. Very sturdy, with the original finish and a lovely patina.
- Beautiful Karastan Carpet, 5'9" x 9', in their Floral Heriz Pattern. In very good condition. It's in a light traffic area that didn't get direct sunlight, and the colors are attractive and diverse, making it a good fit for many different color schemes.
- Well-Constructed 3 Cushion Sofa, with a beautiful off-white silk upholstery with pineapples done in texture. It is in very good condition, with no tears or holes, just a couple of spots that we can see. 80" long, 33" deep, 31" tall. Very elegant!
- Second Gorgeous Antique Mahogany Desk. This one has Queen Anne legs and faux fluted column corners. It is super sturdy, with the original finish. All the drawers have locks, but we haven't matched a key yet. There's one rough patch on one end (shown). 42" wide, 22" deep, 30" tall.
- Wonderful Antique Wooden Armchair with Unusual Floral Velvet Upholstery. The wooden portions of the chair are beautifully carved and turned, and the upholstery is pretty, but somewhat faded and there is one spot worn through on the front edge.
- Pretty Cherry Finish Lectern with adjustable height and angle. It has a pretty turned center column and 4 fluted legs, with brass claw feet. In good sturdy condition, with a nice finish.
- Pretty Metal Stand with an Antique Bowl and Pitcher, marked "Adamantine" China. The stand is on glass ball feet and stands 28" tall. The bowl is 15" diameter and the pitcher is 12" tall. Both the bowl and pitcher have cracks and crazing, and the pitcher, which was originally 2-handled, has neither of the handles. Good Patina on both.
- Elegantly Carved Side Chair with high-end brocade upholstery, with the design of branches and birds. The mahogany framing is carved with flowers and leaves, and is in very good condition with the exception of part of the right arm, which has about a 2" rough spot where, according to our client, a teeny dog nibbled it long ago.
- Fine Quality Queen Anne 1-drawer Table in Mahogany or Walnut. In very good overall condition, with just a couple of wear spots to the finish. 24" wide, 18" deep, 24" tall.
- Unusual Oval Queen Anne Cherry Drop-Leaf Table. The unusual part is that the top spins to hold up the 2 leaves, rather than having braces underneath. 14" wide with the leaves down, 32" wide with the leaves up, 27" deep, 25" tall. In very good solid condition and the finish is nice, with the exception of one ring.
- Handsome Walnut Center Table in Very good condition
- Handsome Rectangular Magazine Rack with Turned Finials on top and brass roller feet on the bottom. Sturdy and in very good condition. 21" wide, 13" deep, 24" tall.
- Stately Upholstered Armchair with Carved Dark Wood Legs and Arm Fronts. The upholstery appears to be silk, and has an Oriental theme; it's still in serviceable condition, but has wear to the fronts of the arms and along the front edge. The chair is 27" wide, 27" deep, 40" tall.
- Nice Antique Camelback Sea Chest, in remarkably good overall condition, and complete with the inner tray. It has good clasps and hinges, and attractive metalwork and bracings. 28" wide, 16" deep, 21" tall.
- Unusual Oval Table with a Blue and White "Blue Willow" Tray for the top. The legs and braces are bentwood with a faux-bamboo carving. 18" wide, 14" deep, 19" tall.
- Beautifully Upholstered Queen Anne Armchair, in Green, Blue, Coral, Cream. The arms have a slight flair on the front edge and the straight back is very comfortable. 27" wide, 27" deep, 43" tall. In excellent condition.
- Interesting Painted Armchair with Carved Claw Feet and a mix of curved, straight and fluted spindles. It has an upholstered, padded seat and back with a diamond pattern and pretty flower at the intersections. 24" wide, 25" deep, 31" tall. Note that the seat is 14.5" from the ground. In good sturdy condition, with intentionally distressed paint.
- Impressive 6-door Credenza by Brandt Furniture. It has columns on the corners and paneled doors with arches in the upper panel. Super sturdy, has tons of storage, and appears to be in excellent condition overall, including the finish. 71" wide, 19" deep, 29" tall.
- Large Antique Signed Tapestry, featuring Thomas Jefferson and his family, in the music room, and set in an old and elegant gilt frame. 38" x 58". The signature appears to be "F. Stersaent." It's in very good condition with no worn spots or tears, but there does seem to be a couple of stains on the young girl in the foreground of the scene.
- Striking Chinese Porcelain Lamp with Blue and White Images of Scholars reading a document. It's on a curved footed base and has a multi-panel silk shade, held on with a carved finial. About 36" tall overall.
- Antique Gate Leg Drop-Leaf Table, with turned legs and good hinges on the drop leaves and the gate legs. Appears to have the original finish, which is in good overall condition. 34" wide, by about 42" deep.
- Beautiful Slag-Glass Table Lamp, with a very antique-looking metal base and an especially pretty hexagonal shade with a 4-petalled flower on each of the 6 panels, and each of the flowers has an amber glass jewel in the center. The base and the shade are both in very good condition, however we don't necessarily believe they are original to each other.
- Gorgeous Antique Dining Table with Amazingly Thin Tapered Legs and a Built-In Leaf. The table locks closed and has a release cable that lets the 2 sides come apart, and at a certain point, the built-in leaf comes up through the middle. It has good metal gearing to help it slide easily and the legs are bolted on, so they could be removed easily, if necessary, to move it. It has a beautiful finish, with just a couple scuffs from use. 45" long, plus has the 12" leaf; 32" wide; 30" tall.
- Beautiful Thin Woven Rug in Cream, Green and Pink, with roses in the center and in the border. 70" wide, 103" long. In good overall condition with no tears or holes. It has seen some traffic but does not have bad wear spots. It appears to have been woven in sections and stitched together, like a kilim, as opposed to a woven Oriental carpet.
- Antique Oak Wardrobe with 2 drawers in the bottom and chicken wire fitted in the front doors where paneling presumably used to be. It's been retrofitted with interior shelves and appears to be constructed to where it can completely disassemble into flat pieces. 48" wide, 25" deep, 78" tall and very sturdy. (All the beautiful contents will be part of the tag sale.)
- Heavy Antique Brass Chandelier, with 8 lights and a row of 6 flowers on a tier above the lights. The lighted portion has been rewired at some point, so it has modern wiring on it, but you can still see the original cloth-covered wire coming out the top. 31" long, as shown, but also has several inches of chain and cover plate for the ceiling.
- Neat Small, Rectangular Chest with black metal braces. 28" wide, 12.5" deep, 12" tall. Made of relatively thin wood, which has cracked in a couple spots, and the hinges and brace are loose.
