Moving Memories Estate Sales
Description & Details
Moving Memories Estate Sales is bringing you an estate sale in the heart of Knoxville that is full of rare unique finds. This is a once in a lifetime estate sale that offers one of a kind artwork, high end John Widdicomb furniture that is in pristine condition, beautiful tapestries, beautiful Tiffany-stained glass window hangings, pristine Brunswick hand cranked record player, and many more amazing historical finds. How did all of these unique and sometimes rare historical items all come together in one place? Well, the answer to that is a man that was just as unique and one of a kid as his estate is, Charles R Davenport. Mr. Davenport lived an amazing diverse life, and it shows through all of the items that he has collected and made his own throughout the years. Col. Davenport was a member of the Civil Air Patrol having served as Vice Commander of the Southeast Region, special advisor to the National Commander of Civil Air Patrol, and Director of Cadet Programs for the Tennessee Wing. Col. Davenport was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal and many other CAP awards and medals. He was an extremely intelligent man who was a born leader, and he brought those skills and talents to Knox County Public Library Board of Trustees where he severed as a member for 3 years and President of the board for 15 years. Before Mr. Davenport was on the board of trustees, he taught for the Knox County School System at Brickey Mcloud Elementary, Halls Elementary, Carter Middle and at Gap Creek Elementary. He was a beloved member of the Knox County community. He wore many hats, and he wore them well. It’s an honor to host this estate sale and allow the community to come out and see all of the treasures that he found along the way. We hope they find a home with someone who appreciates them as much as the wonderful Mr. Davenport did.
