ONLINE AUCTION LISTING (See below for Tag items.  To bid, Click the link above.)

  • Large Custom-Made Sisal Rug with a fun, brightly colored cloth border that has been added.  This is a custom-made piece, so you can tell on the back how it's been assembled from individual pieces.  Comes with a custom-made underpad.  Measures 16'4" square.  It's in good overall condition with no stains, but it does have impressions from where furniture was on it previously.
  • Pair of Large Signed Framed Prints of Flowers, with geometric designs underneath.  They are in pretty Mahogany frames, signed bottom left "Li-Leger", and measure 38" square.  They go really well with the Sisal Rug in #1.
  • Lovely Hand-Knotted Oriental Wool Rug with a red border and cream center field with floral medallions.  Measures 78" x 47".  In very good condition with no holes or tears.  It has lived in a foyer, so there is a little bit of dirt from traffic, but not much wear.
  • Large and Lovely Sculptured Rug with a green and red border and a cream center field that has a sweet ring of blue and red flowers and green leaves.  It's in the formal living room where it didn't see a lot of traffic, so it has light wear, just one stain on the green edge, and just a couple of impressions from furniture legs.  Measures 11'1" x 12'9".
  • Another Large Sculptured Rug, also in green, red, and cream.  This one is different in that it is essentially octagonal in shape, with the corners angled, and it's green in the center with alternating red, cream, and green borders.  Measures 13' x 11'3".  It's been under the dining table, so the center has seen very little wear and there are no holes or stains, but there is one edge that is modestly worn from foot traffic.
  • Extraordinary Glass Top Dining Table with a square glass base.  Table top measures 70" diameter; stands 28.5" tall.  The round top has a beveled edge, measures a massive 3/4" thick and is in great condition with no chips and a modest amount of scuffs on top.  The base is 26" square and the glass is also 3/4" thick, held together with heavy brass corners that have 4 screws on each joint where it holds the glass.  Impressive Piece!
  • Stunning Drexel Heritage Buffet Server with a matching 5-Drawer Accessory Cabinet on top.  The base has a breakfront where the section with the 2 center doors extends 1.5" out further than the 2 side doors.  The doors have locks and we have the key; they're also painted with an Oriental-style bird and bamboo image.  The upper accessory cabinet is completely removable and just sitting on the top on brass button feet.  It has a matched breakfront shape, matching bamboo and flower painting and has 5 drawers total.  78" wide, 21.5" deep, 38" tall including the accessory cabinet.  It's in very good overall condition with no dings or scratches, although it was made with intentional distressing on the edge molding.
  • Beautiful Rectangular Oriental-Style Black Lacquer Coffee Table with a glass protector top.  The top is painted with a lovely scene of 2 ladies in a boat on a lake surrounded by Chinese style gazebos, and the black legs are also decorated with more gold flowers.  It's in very good overall  condition with no real dings or scratches and it even appears to be signed in Chinese.  46" long, 26.5" deep, 16" tall.
  • Magnificent Drexel Etcetera Chinoiserie Hand-Decorated Corner Cabinet with a rounded front.  It has a single door in the base and the 3 panels on the base are each painted with Chinese bamboo and buildings; it has a single shelf inside.  The upper section is black lacquer with gold edging and flower and geometric accents.  It has 2 interior lights and 3 glass shelves with adjustable heights.  It's in excellent overall condition with no dings or scratches, and the lights work.   Measures about 20" down the sides, 34" corner to corner across the front, 78" tall.
  • Chinoiserie Half Round Console Table in the Connoisseur line by Drexel Furniture.  It has a glass top protector over beautiful Mahogany veneer and has gold Greek key painted around the top edge while the base is black lacquer with more gold painting.  Measures  32" wide, 16" deep, 31" tall.  In very good overall condition with just a few rough spots where the joints have shifted under the lacquer.
  • Fine Antique Mahogany Corner Cabinet #1, in beautiful condition.  It has a 2-door base with a lock and key, and 1 internal shelf.  The upper section has a domed glass door with wooden muntins, lock, and 3 internal wooden shelves with serpentine fronts and plate grooves on the back.  It has a "broken arch" pediment with crenellations, but was made without a finial.  Measures approx. 28" down the side, 39" corner to corner across the front, 86" tall.  There is some scuffing on the base molding but otherwise the cabinet is in absolutely gorgeous condition.
  • Fine Antique Mahogany Corner Cabinet #2, in beautiful condition.
  • Pair of Matched Armchairs with Oriental Styling, including red cloth upholstery with bright carnations and pretty wood framing with Chinese architectural elements.  Very sturdy and in very good condition.  22" wide, 26" deep, 30" tall.
  • Antique Burl Hardwood Game Table #1.  It has an extraordinary platform base with bun feet set on casters, a square vase-shaped center column, and a fold-over top that opens and spins to turn it into a game table.  The top of the base also has a compartment under the tabletop for storage, and when the top itself is open you can see that the two sides have a book-match veneer, but they've been reversed to each other.  Fully opened it measures 37" square, 28.5" tall; closed up like a console table, the top is 37" x 18".  It's in very good overall condition with just a couple small chips off the veneer, and there is a very old split in both the top pieces that's been well touched up.  We and the family believe these are mid- to late-1800s.
  • Antique Burl Hardwood Game Table #2. When the top is folded, you see that the veneer has a pie-wedge pattern that is truly remarkable.  Fully opened it measures 37" square, 28.5" tall; closed up like a console table, the top is 37" x 18".  It's in very good overall condition, though there is one very old well-done repair that was probably a knot.  We and the family believe these are mid- to late-1800s.
  • Large Antique Copper Bucket with a handle.  It has pretty decorative feet and medallions on the sides, and a hand-hammered design overall.  Measures 20" diameter; 19" tall without handle; 31" tall including the handle.
  • Antique Maple Rocker with a woven rattan seat.  It's in very good overall condition with no breaks to the rattan and a nice finish to the wood.  18" wide, 29" deep including the rockers, 34" tall.  The seat is unusually low at 15" high.
  • Stunning 3-Drawer Burl Oak Chest by Baker with elegant brass drawer pulls and beautiful wood grain overall.  It has angled corners on the body beside the drawers and a pretty gingerbread molding on the top of that.  It's in very good overall condition with no chips or cracks or bad scuffs.  Measures 30" wide, 16" deep, 31" tall.
  • Attractive Mahogany 4-Drawer Chest with glass top protector, by Palmer Home Collection.  Measures 36" wide, 18" deep, 29" tall.  The wood is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, or significant scuffing, and there is a very pretty inlay medallion on the center of the top drawers; the other drawers have decorative keyholes that don't actually lock.
  • Bow-Front Desk or Vanity, by Hickory, in the American Masterpiece Collection.  It has 1 drawer center and 2 drawers on either side, and all of those have a 2-tone veneer and the legs and skirt have a linear veneer inlay accent.  It's in very good overall condition other than the inner edge of the kneehole, which has clearly been bumped by a chair over the years.  The top surface has light scuffing which should easily polish out.  46" wide, 22" deep, 29.5" tall.
  • Lovely Windsor-Style Rocker with long narrow spindles.  The wood looks like Maple and it's in very good condition with some wear on the arms but no real chips or cracks.  Measures 24" wide, 33" deep including the rockers, 41" tall.
  • Stately Mahogany 6-Drawer Desk with glass top protector, in very good overall condition.  The left side has a file drawer on the top, and a pull-out tray; there is 1 drawer center; and 3 drawers on the right.  The back of the desk is paneled, so it can be used in the center of a room, and the whole thing sits on 8 turned legs.  There are signs of wear on the feet and drawer edges, and the edges of the kneehole, but they are purely cosmetic.  This desk is solid as a rock.  Measures 60" wide, 34" deep, 30.5" tall.
  • Fine Cut-Crystal Lamp with a beige silk shade and Oriental-style brass base and finial.  It's in very good overall condition with no chips, stands 25" tall and lights just fine with a 3-way switch.  Looks like Waterford but we can't find a mark.
  • Matched Pair of Heavy Brass Table Lamps, with turned brass bodies. paneled silk shades, and brass finials.  Both are in very good condition and stand 30" tall.
  • Signed, Numbered, Framed Print of Woven Baskets and Chairs by Betty Worden.  It's number 508 of 1000, signed bottom right, and housed in a wooden frame that is 24" x 33" overall.
  • Signed, Framed, Numbered Print of branches with red berries by Connie Proco.  It's number 201 of 1000, signed bottom right and 20" x 25" overall.
  • Antique Mahogany Bow-Front Chest with 4 drawers in the center under the bow front and 1 drawer over 1 door on each side.  It's sturdily built and is in very solid condition.  There are several light scratches on the top surface that would likely polish out.  It has oval drawer pulls and there is one shelf inside each of the doors.  Measures 54" long, 21" deep, 36" tall.
  • Closely Matched Serpentine Front 9-Drawer Chest with a glass top protector.  It has oval drawer pulls.  58" wide, 23" deep, 34" tall.  It's very solidly built and the glass protector has kept the top in very nice condition.  For the last 20 or so years, it has been in a guest bedroom with very little use.
  • Another Closely Matched Mahogany 6-Drawer Dresser by Skandia Furniture, with oval and round drawer pulls and beautiful book-match veneer on the drawer fronts.  It's also been in the guest room for the last 20 years without a lot of use, but there is some wear visible where the drawers rub going in and out; and the top has several light scratches.  Measures 35" wide, 20" deep, 51.5" tall.
  • Closely Matched Mahogany 4-Drawer Nightstand with a glass top protector, in good sturdy condition.  It has oval drawer pulls and pretty 2-tone veneer on the drawer fronts.  There is some damage to the veneer across the skirt between the legs on the bottom.  Measures 24" wide, 15" deep, 30" tall.
  • King Size Bedframe with Simmons Mattress and Boxspring Pillowtop Set, with a Large White Solid Wood Headboard.  The headboard measures 89" wide, 49" tall; the metal mattress frame is bolted to it, and it holds the 2 twin-sized boxsprings and the large pillowtop mattress that has the original tag dating it to 2003.  Mattress measures 74" wide, 78" long.
  • Bose Wave Radio with CD Player; with remote.  It has the original warranty card underneath.  Model AWRC-1P.  The radio plays fine, but we did not test the CD player.
  • Nice Quality Pawley's Island Rope Hammock on a green metal frame.  Comes with the green and white striped pillow that you can velcro to the wooden spacers.   It's been outdoors but kept under cover, so the rope's a little gray but it all feels super solid and it's super cozy for naps.
  • Lovely Japanese Silk Kimono, in blue with bright floral embroidery.  Comes with the wooden frame to hang it on that is adorned with black tassels, also.  It's in beautiful condition overall.  Including the frame, it's 53" wide, 37" tall.
  • Extraordinary Gilt Frame Mirror with a Chinese pagoda and Phoenix on the top.  It has faux bamboo down the sides with delicate winding vines.  It's in very good condition with no chips or cracks.  29" wide, 50" tall.
  • Queen Size Bedframe with a white metal head- and foot-board, capped with brass ball finials.  Comes with a sturdy metal mattress frame that bolts on both ends.  It's in very good overall condition, although we may be missing one finial.
  • Handsome Hardwood Twin Bedframe with the right rails.  The headboard has a pretty "broken arch" pediment with finial and both the headboard and footboard have 66" tall posts topped with carved finials; they each measure about 41.5" wide.  The rails are in good condition.
  • Noah's Ark Baby Quilt from the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  It's in good overall condition and measures 46" x 56".  The Williamsburg tag is coming loose.
  • Lovely Light Brown Mink Mid-Length Jacket, in very good condition, with 2 pretty buttons and pockets.  From Vola's Furs of Knoxville.  The interior lining has lots of embroidered circles in it and is very pretty and in good condition too.  Measures 16" seam to seam across the shoulders, and it's 36" long.
  • Long 3-Cushion Sofa with a blue pinstripe upholstery. It's 8'6" long, 35" deep, 26" tall.  It's a very good sit, with the cushions in very good condition; also clean, but it does appear to have some kitty claw picks on the right front and back corners.  The pinstripes appear to be a recover because the original label is gone.
  • Adorable Child's Rolltop Desk with Rotating Desk Chair.  The rolltop operates smoothly most of the way, but it's a little stiff to get it all the way up.  The base has 3 drawers and a pull-out tray.  Measures 27" wide, 15" deep, 36" tall.
  • Antique Child's Chair and Table, in very good condition.  The table measures 24" x 18" and 21" tall.  The chair has an opening in the top rail, so it's easy to carry around.

  • Pro-Form Front Runner Treadmill in good working condition, with adjustable incline, heart monitor, and safety stop.  Has the space-saver tilt-up option.  There is also a fan in the console.  Measures 39" wide, 57" tall, 62" long.  With the running surface folded up it's only 33" long.

  • Brass and Crystal Lamp that looks like Waterford.  The crystal body has a radiating fern design on a footed square brass base.  It has a pleated round shade and a crystal-looking finial.  We didn't see the mark on the lamp body, but the shade has the Waterford mark.
  • Another Crystal Bodied Lamp with Brass foot and top and nice paneled white silk shade.  The vase-shaped body has pretty and intricate cut patterns and the shade is also nice and clean and has a sparkly crystal-topped finial.  28" tall overall.
  • Set of 4 Green Hitchcock-Type Chairs from the Boling Chair Company of Siler City, NC.  They are painted green with gold accents and flowers painted on the top rail and back brace; and they have woven rattan seats.  They each show wear in some places, although the wear is not consistent across all of them; there are paint chips across the front and wear on some of the seats; but overall they are nice and sturdy and an attractive set.
  • Nice Loveseat with a relatively new blue and white upholstery and extra-thick firm cushions.  Measures 67" long, 35" deep, 32" tall.  There are holes in the feet for casters, but we haven't located the casters yet.  The upholstery is in good condition with no holes or tears and could use a spot cleaning on the right arm, but otherwise it's in good shape.

  • Nice Quality Lightweight Patio Set including a 40" round table and 6 chairs.  The chairs are in 2 styles, but all with matching colors--4 of them stack and 2 of them don't.  The table has a textured glass top in good condition, and the mesh fabric covering the chairs is also all in good shape.  There are a few flecks of paint coming off the chairs.
  • Pair of Vintage White Metal Rocking Outdoor Chairs.  They're in good shape with a cozy rocking motion, but they don't have cushions.  Also included is the small black glass-top endtable shown.
  • Pair of Super Cozy Chaise Rockers.  The family reports these came from Mayo's many years ago, and they are really a great relaxing rocking chair.  The mesh cushions are pre-attached and they're in good condition, if al little faded from age.
  • Great Quality Oak Dining Table with 6 Armchairs.  The table is shown with 1 leaf and it has another leaf besides that.  The chairs are all armchairs and have a pretty multi-color upholstered seat; they are clean and in good shape.  The finish on the table is kind of a light pickling with a creamy golden hue and it's generally in good condition but there's one area where it's maybe gotten hot and is flaking a little bit.  Table measures 42" wide; without a leaf it's 64" long, and the leaves are 18", so you can either have 72" or 90" in length.
  • Round Glass-Top Patio Table with 4 Chairs.  The table has a substantial 4-legged pedestal base and pretty scrolling metalwork under the glass; it is 41" diameter.  The 4 chairs have matching scrollwork and leaves in the backrests and indoor/outdoor blue colored seats.  There is a little rust showing through the table frame, but otherwise the set is in very good condition.

  • Pair of Fabulous Handpainted French Urns.  They've been with the family a long time and the story they have told each other is that ancestors brought them here with them when they moved to America from France.  Each one has a painting of a man and woman under a tree and buildings on the reverse.  They're in very good shape with no cracks and just one chip on the underside of the rim of one urn, although it appears that they've been cleaned enough times that the gilding is wearing thin in spots.  They stand 11" tall and there are interesting faces at the attachment of the handles on each side, as well.
  • Set of 4 Waterford "Lismore" Rocks Glasses, in excellent condition with no chips.  They are 3.5" tall and 3.75" diameter.
  • Exceptional Silverplate Covered Server that has an engraving on the bottom from 1945 and an engraving on the top that reads "Cassis Tutissima Virtus." • Fine Cut Crystal Center Bowl with a Sterling Silver Rim.  13" diameter, in very good condition.  This is an older piece and it has a little bit of wear on the bottom.  The artwork is exceptional, with a bouquet of flowers and the flower buds in particular are exceptionally executed.  The rim is perforated and in good shape, although it has a couple of minor bends you could probably straighten out, and it's stamped "Sterling."

  • Lot of 4 Lladro Angel Figurines with Musical Theme.  Includes a 7" trio with a song sheet; 5" lute player; 6" violin player; and a 3" sleeping companion.  All appear to be in very good condition with no chips or cracks with the exception of on the violin player the tip of the violin is chipped off.

  • Antique Mechanical Bird in Cage from Germany, signed "KG", which we believe refers to Karl Griesbaum.  It is musical and dates to the 1950s.  Presently the winding mechanism works fine, as does the start/stop, and the music plays.  We have not seen the bird move his beak.
  • Herend Hand-Painted Decorative Dish, in the shape of a clamshell.  It has a gold rim, beautiful green flowers, and a lovely leafy edging.  The Herend mark is clear, and it's marked "7444/AV" on the bottom.

Kestner 24" Doll with bisque head and hands, glass eyes, human hair wig, cork stuffed body, feather painted eyebrows and lashes, and leather jointed knees.  She dates from the mid to late 1800s, has the JD Kestner marking on her chest, and is in remarkably good condition.  We also have a receipt showing some refurbishments she had in 2007.  She is a beautiful doll in beautiful clothes/shoes--see photos for details.

  • Extraordinary Sword with lots of ornate religious-looking markings, signed "Caldwell, Cincinnati, OH."  That maker dates the sword to the late 1800s.  The hilt is in the shape of a cross and has a silver cross fused to it; and it's capped with a knight's helmet.  There are engravings on the sword, including crosses and other symbols.  The scabbard is very ornate and shows religious figures and has a cross inside a crown, a crowing rooster, and other symbols.  36" long, with great patina.
  • Very Antique Powder Horn, made from a gourd.  It's been passed down through our client's family with the legend that it was used by an ancestor in the Battle of King's Mountain, which is a great story, but difficult to verify.  It does have a crack on the base, and it does smell like powder.  measures 17" long, 5" diameter.
