Another FYI - I just got the news today. We will have Knoxville's popular Appraiser Randy Beck on Friday 7th. He was with us today, working with the appraisals of the Jewelry. It seems we have Jewelry from several different countries. Also, some vintage Costume.  The good part of Randy being there is - if you have an item of jewelry you'd like to have appraised, bring it to Randy and he will look at it for a minimal fee. And if you need the paperwork for insurance purchases, he can take care of that, too. I am really excited about this, and hope that you are, too.

We are VERY PLEASED and HONORED to have been asked to hold this Sale. She had such a following with her Bird Columns in the Knoxville News Sentinel, and she was the GO TO  for information of the Birds.  She began with the News Sentinel in 2001. She loved to travel and has been all around the world. Her favorite things were watching the Birds, travel and good food.

I was told from a family member, she always bought items from her travels and we'd find things from everywhere. And since we started getting it ready, we have found that to be so VERY TRUE.

You will see in the pictures, 3 Birds and the label on back shows "D'OISEAUX" French, which means, "Catalog of Birds" and is a work for piano solo by Olivier Messiaen. She bought these while in Paris. I will have some paperwork on this if you're interested, just ask me, (Nancy)

I did a walk thru and got some pictures, we have to offer a Leather Love Seat, blue Leather Chair/recliner, two Bakers Racks, storage Trunk, Curio Cabinet, Dining Room group, occasional Chairs, several different Lamps and Floor Lamps, Sail Boat, several occasional Tables, several Patio Sets, full size Bed, end Tables, 2 Desks,  Husgvarna Riding Lawn Mower, Yard Tools, Kitchen items, large Entertainment Center, Boudoir Chair, 2 drawer lateral File Cabinet, large Book w/3 pull out drawers Coffee Table, a Glass Top Coffee Table, Jewelry Cabinet and so very much more.

We also have a China Hutch, 2 Lawyers Bookcases, several Chest of Drawers, several occasional Chairs, several Wing Back Chairs, lots of decorator pieces, framed Pictures, lots and lots of not framed Bird Pictures, Great Books of misc interest, the Portmeiroy Birds of Britain China is awesome, and the Royal Doulton China (Royal Gold pattern) and some great pieces of Cookware, not the usual pots and pans, several liquor Boxes  (one is pictured) she used for decorating the kitchen, and ladies Clothing ranging from size 12 - 3x and top name Brands, shoe size 9/91/2, Costume Jewelry, Purses, and Linens, Draperies, 2 vintage Tapestries, 2 large Decorator Mirrors, 1-22" Flat screen TV, 1-32" Flat screen TV, a drop leaf Kitchen Table, several vintage wood painted red Chairs, Grandfathers Chair and Ottoman, a beautiful, big & tall Claw Foot base, blonde Curio with opening glass doors in front and a Chair matching the blonde wood ( sorry, I don't know the wood) but it's gorgeous. and so very much more I will be adding.

I've added a few more pictures and I've been working in the Kitchen for 2 1/2 days and have priced so much of interesting and such good quality items. As you will see in the pictures, she bought excellent quality merchandise. There are a few vintage pieces and there are so many items in the kitchen, I won't be able to show all of them, But the quality and the unusual are so very interesting. You will want to take some time to go thru the Kitchen, for sure. (actually, the entire house.)

You will see a touch of modern, vintage and eclectic throughout the house. This has been a very interesting house for me. I'm really enjoying seeing all the different and unique pieces and I'm thinking what will you think of this piece?? or that piece?? I've been working on the pieces she had bought from around the world today and have found it to be very interesting, wondering where it might have come from and wonder when she was there and bought it?  I will get some pictures when we get things placed.

I found a box today, about 9 x 11 size, and it had a Bird on the front and it opened from the side and had several small boxes of matches with different birds on each, I believe it was German with all the information on the box. I couldn't find anything about it on the net. But, I'm still looking.  This is what I'm talking about, it's all so interesting. Please come and be prepared to stay and enjoy all this, just like I am. Oh, and there's a box with a Sandpiper Call in it, made in France. Don't you just LOVE it?

While looking at the pictures, I've named the items and no need for me to list them here. I was surprised when I found the 1904 Chicago World's Fair Post Card.

It is such a beautiful house and the view of the lake, with windows everywhere you look in the front sections of the house. You need to come to the sale, if nothing but to look at the house and the view of the lake. She keep trees and bushes for the Birds, but doesn't bother the view, at all.

The Sailboat -70's Force 5 and the Trailer

The Yamaha WR500 Waverunner and the Trailer,  bought in 1989, (needs a good bath) and all the paperwork is with it.

The Huszvarna Riding Mower is 2010, 23 HP, 48" cut, w/grass catcher

We have one more day to get things ready and for me to get all the pictures I need to get on here for you to see, so by tomorrow night, everything will be on go for us come Friday morning.

Today, we worked with lots of Shells (all descriptions and sizes) and Fossils (also, all description and sizes) and I was taken away by all this. I can see why people are interested in these things. Those of you who are, you will have a great assortment to choose from. I hope to see you there.

I've been trying to get the Costume Jewelry done and are you going to be pleased with it. We have "Potato Pearl" Necklaces, Bracelets, and "Jade" Necklaces and "Coral" Necklaces and Silver Jewelry and lots and lots of unique Pins, Necklaces, Bracelets and Earrings, some with animals. Several of these Necklaces are African, very pretty and interesting.

This will be a good time for you to shop, especially if you need more Christmas presents. You'll find NIB items of all descriptions. From a bar of Soap to an Electric Skillet. Plus, picking out of the souvenirs will make someone happy, too.

My entry today will be the last before the sale. (I think) and I hope you find time to squeeze us in for your shopping pleasure,  there's so much in the house, I know you are going to find things you'll like. And of course, we're looking forward to seeing you.

As always, if you have any questions, please call me @865-437-8684 or Bobby @ 556-4913.

May God bless,

Nancy
