A major sale featuring Lionel Trains & Train items as well as multiple transportation pcs. such as Trolley Cars, buses, books, etc. 3 Lionel sets in Box + 70-80 cars, engines, accessory items.

This is a one day sale starting at 6:00 P.M. Central time. Any items not sold will be offered at a later sale, possibly 8/6/10 or 8/13/10 (Fri. 13th). We accept absentee bids WITH DEPOSIT OF 25% OF THE LEFT BID AMOUNT,payable by money order or personal check (12 day window in advance on personal check).THERE IS NO PAY PAL OR CREDIT CARDS).This is not an EBAY style sale where someone can bid continously, so leave your maximum bid. We are the oldest in the city & DO NOT RUN up LEFT BIDS unless a reserve is not met, in which case the reserve may bid against you. Most items are being sold without reserve & the ones that have reserves are very reasonable.
The heir to the estate is NOT a train person & wants it all to go away. He has left it in our hands & we are doing the best we can matching cars w/boxes. ALL TRAIN ITEMS HAVE BEEN PICKED UP!!! Boxes w/out cars will be sold separately as will cars w/out boxes.
In addition to the train items, we will also sell toys, lunch boxes, comics, & related items. In addition to all the estate items there is a lg. # of consignments coming in to complement the estate items. Please feel free to contact me 1:30-6:00 central time Mon.-Fri. Or, if absolutely necessary, contact me at 901-685-3151 from 8:00-10:00 central time. I'm a national auctioneer & have called or otherwise worked auctions in a number of states, but I'm not an expert on trains (I'm working on it) even though I have sold a good many trains. However, in the past the seller has provided me w/all necessary info & in this case the seller has passed away so please bear with me.
Unfortunately we will not be able to handle phone bids for this sale, but as soon as we receive a deposit we will assign you a buyer # & will contact you within 24 hours if you have been a succesful bidder. Shipping & handling is based on weight & location but is a minimal charge based on postal or Fed Ex prices (we've had a lot of success w/ a Fed Ex jobber, more so than the post office on large purchases). Small purchases are usually sent in 1 of the fixed price boxes at the post office.

Even though the trains, trolleys, related train items, take center stage, pay attention to the othe collectible toys w/more pix Wed. 28th w/possibility of a few more late nite 29th. Windups, lunch boxes, thermoses, childrens; books, scale model car banks, other banks, farm toys, trucks, fire engines & more. We have a few more items for pix 7/29, but to be honest, we're about out of room & there are still many items incl. comic books. So, I'll do the best I can, but as I said, THERE"S NO MORE ROOM!!
Hey! Guess what we just found out. All the large Trolleys were made by CORGI. These are some expensive little puppies, but u ought to see the price stickers on all the boxed HO trains & the trolleys & busses. U got to be rich...or smart enough to go to our auction. LOAD UP NOW!!
