The Estate of James and Pauline Payne
Their Story is Fascinating! ***
The following are memories of James and Pauline,
lovingly prepared by their children:
Andy Payne and Kimberly Payne Greenwood.
“In 1998, after our father retired from a distinguished and decorated career in pharmaceutical sales and our mother retired from her calling as a registered nurse. They then moved into the log cabin home our dad had always dreamed of. Both had served honorably and faithfully in professions they truly loved, and this new season felt well earned. Downsizing from Hermitage, they chose Mt. Juliet as the setting for their next chapter, and it became a sanctuary filled with faith, friendship, and family.”
“They loved living there. As devoted members of Victory Baptist Church and with Dad’s more than 50 years of commitment to the Masonic Lodge, their lives were deeply rooted in community and service. Each winter they headed to Florida, happily filling their days with gospel singings they so dearly loved, always returning home to Tennessee by Easter, just in time to see Mom’s daffodils and irises in beautiful bloom.”
“Their home was a gathering place. The doors were open, the table was full, and laughter echoed through the rooms. They had a magnetic way about them that drew people in and made everyone feel welcome. They lived with intention and passion, proud of their faith, their family, their country, and their Tennessee roots.”
“Every item in this home reflects a life well lived and deeply loved. Their belongings tell the story of two joyful hearts who embraced their roles as Christians, parents, grandparents, Americans, and proud residents of Mt. Juliet. Our parents home offers not just treasured possessions, but pieces of a home that was filled, always, with love and great passion for serving all in whatever way they could planting seeds for Christ wherever they went.”
What A Beautiful Testament to Their Parents!!!
