“A Legacy in Bloom” — Green Hills Estate Sale

We are honored to host the estate sale of Mary Nelle Hutcheson Chumley, a woman whose life was marked by generosity, creativity, and deep devotion to her community. Her decades of service, hospitality, and unwavering support for Lipscomb University and the many lives she touched leave behind a legacy that is both inspiring and enduring. It is clear that her home reflects a life beautifully lived — filled with 60+ years of intention, grace, and heart.

Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated collection of treasures that mirror her many interests and passions. Inside you will find a wide variety of vintage, mid century modern, and antique furniture such as several secretary desks, sofas, marbletop tables, white wicker, accent chairs, buffet tables, patio tables, dining tables, and a piano converted to an organ. There are plenty of vintage and antique home decor pieces such as antique lamps, large gold antique mirrors, brass accents, crocks, pottery, framed wall art, pineapple home decor cultural items, baskets of all sizes and much more. This home has an extensive selection of books including crafting, floral arranging, decorating, vintage Lipscomb yearbooks, faith-based titles, Bibles, nonfiction, travel, and cooking to name a few. You’ll find quality women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, costume jewelry, media such as tapes, CDs, records, and VHS, vintage games, puzzles, and a well-stocked office area with beautiful cards, stationery, and crafting supplies. The kitchen and dining areas are filled with a variety of colorful glassware, serving dishes, several china sets, baking and cooking essentials, utensil sets, linens, crystal, and silver plated pieces. You will also find a potting shed room and garage just off the back sunroom with plenty of gardening essentials, tools, and tons more treasures— each item a small reflection of a gracious and creative life.
