Howard O Ensley and wife Frankie A. Ensley built the home in 1973 nestled in the Cumberland Mountains in Newcomb, TN. The family and home is a historical part of Newcomb near Jellico. The home is a 4,500 sq foot home filled with handcrafted furniture, retro tables and sofas, antique and vintage furniture and thousands of small collectibles and kitchenware. With more than 50 years of collecting there are many precious local and regional pieces in the home.
Howard O Ensley began his career in the coal mining business in Oliver Springs and later he moved to Campbell County, Tennessee, where he started, owned and operated Howard Ensley Coal Company, Radar Coal Company, and he was a partner in Big H. Coal Company. Mr. Ensley was a well known and respected business man who employed many residents of Campbell County, Tennessee, and neighboring counties through his coal and trucking enterprises.
Frankie A. Ensley, was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Big H coal company in Newcomb, TN. Frankie was an avid baker and loved cooking for many people her entire life.
The home is a reflection of many meals and gatherings for family, friends, employees and neighbors.
