The Goldston family has been collecting for 3 generations. Originally THE Gulf gasoline station in Harriman, Tennessee, through the years and still, they operate a fully functional mechanic shop, operate a tow service as well as work on vintage cars.
The two show winners, the 1948 Nash and 1932 Chevrolet are winners at every show they were entered. 100 Point restorations on each, they are in better condition than when they left the factory. Numerous trophies will go with the winner of each vehicle.
The 1987 Jerr Dan Chevrolet Roll Back has only 66,000 miles and was used to haul the 2 show cars. It has also won awards in shows and features a 454 Gas motor, automatic transmission and cold air.
The 1985 450SL Mercedes and the 1976 Corvette are both in excellent condition and need nothing.
The 3 Wheel Cushman and 1951 Chevrolet 1 ton flat bed are both in running condition and only need cosmetic work but are driveable today.
The 1961 Studebaker Lark and the 1962 Electra convertible both need restoration.
There are numerous gasoline signs, oil product ads, kerosene and oil dispensers, Cocva Cola signs, Sealtest Ice Cream and other neon signs, pedal cars, a 1970 Honda Passport motor scooter, a "Tin Lizzie" childs car used in parades, advertising clocks, 8 Gulf, Texaco & Sinclair gasoline pumps, even 2 vintage condom machines from gas stations with the keys.
Toys: Numerous metal Tonka, Buddy L and other toys, firetrucks, cement mixers, farm trucks, pickup trucks, campers, easily 100+ toys.
The condition of most of the offerings is far better than normal, Mr. Goldston took care of his pieces and it shows.
The auction is to be held at the family residence in Oakdale, Tennessee, close to Harriman off the interstate. There are numerous motels and restaurants at Harriman.
Bring your own chairs and packing. Good food will be available for both breakfast and lunch.
