Gayle Shead, a Tennessee native, together with her deceased husband, Theodore M Shead, a retired US Naval Commander, traveled the world extensively, making multiple visits to Europe, Africa, and the far East.
But their travels around the US were the highlight and they enjoyed finding early American furniture and other high quality items. Ted and Gayle also loved, and were the caretakers of, their family's antiques and heirlooms.
